  • Hi folks. Am exhausted but day went well. Very emotional but was beautiful service and nice crowd attended. I managed my reading although started reading the wrong one . The priest had changed the page in the book but I just took out the paper which I had for practising and read from that. We went for a nice cuppa afterwards to the same restaurant we went to for my Mum. Once everyone was away I took my friend and her Mum home and I suggested we went back up the cemetery and got the cards from the flowers and let them see the flowers etc properly and in peace. It was nice just the 3 of us standing there. It was so peaceful and we all had a wee cry and a good old cuddle. I'm sure it did us all good cos afterwards we drove round and had a wee look at all the headstones so they could get an idea of what they wanted. Dunno how they feel tonight but I am totally shattered. Thankful it is all over though.

So hospital tomorrow and fingers crossed all is well. I feel fine so I am hopeful :). I just want all this over as I hate all this sadness and sickness. I am an upbeat person and don't do well when life is low.

NSD believe it or not. Always a positive ;) xx

Glad today is over for you. Lost my dad last year one thing I did like you was that I went back by myself to look at the flowers and collect the floral cards. It was lovely and peaceful, gave me time to reflect on the day. Your friend and her mum are lucky to have a dear friend like you. You deserve a rest after today.xx

  • Aww man I could have a massive tantrum and then lie down kicking and screaming. Bloody kidney stone is still there
I have to go back in a couple of weeks for the lithotripsy again .

Slight change in the surface of it but it is still there !!

Anyhoo onto other stuff. Nearly ran out of petrol and had to stick e tenner in the tank. I'm sure I'll need another £10 before payday. Also had to get some shopping in so I was £52 in ALDI. Got loads though and it'll all be used. We had steak pie for dinner ( was a bit grisly) and I have 2lbs of chilli cooking in the slow cooker just now. I'll leave it cooking for another hour or so and then portion it up for freezer. DS doesn't like chilli but DD and I enjoy it.

My work haven't actually made me use sick leave for last week and have given me 3 days special leave which is great. I will unfortunately need more time off but hopefully minimal.

Just spent an hour and a half on phone to a very tearful friend. Her Dad is dying as well but they are estranged, and for good reason, but because our other friend's Dad just died she is in a right old state. She wants to tell her Dad exactly what she thinks of him before he dies. I am shocked at this and I have just told her NO NO NO and I have promised that I will go to his funeral when he does die and we will flick him the 2 fingers as he gets buried/cremated or whatever. Dear God I feel so sorry for her. He was an absolute bar steward of a man.

Going to bed soon. I want to try and get out of the habit of going to bed late and maybe try and get there by 11 at the latest. I am tired and need to get more sleep. Even just lying reading is restful. I hope everyone is well. I haven't had a minute to catch up on any diaries but will maybe manage tomorrow or over the weekend xx

  • Sorry to hear the stone is still there :(.

Such a hard situation for your friend. I can see why she would want to say her piece before it's too late, but I can certainly see why you would tell her not too. Poor soul Xx

  • Evening folks. I just got the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from my friend for all the help I have given her and her Mum. There was absolutely no need but I am very pleased with them.

I was determined tonight that I was going to turn my heating down by 1 degree. I lasted 2 hours :rotfl: 20 degrees is just a step too far for me. I canny cope !!

Thank god it's Friday :D am tired and weary. Got cleaning job in morning but only the small house and then hopefully meeting friends for lunch and a wee catch up.

Spent £1.45 on lunch which was really quite greedy as I had taken lunch in with me but I wanted chocolate and chips. Healthy eating as you see !

Quiet night tonight and thankfully life is nice and quiet today but it means nothing to report xx
