Evening all. Another wee busy day for me today. Worked all day and then met DD at docs as she has no appointment yet and when I called yesterday they said possibly August :eek: I mean seriously. So doc saw her tonight and reckons she has fibrocystic breast disease. Not good news but better news than cancer
. She gave her ibuprofen for the pain and will call the hospital as she says the length of time is unacceptable. She will refer DD to a Glasgow hospital where she will be seen quicker if she cannot get her a quicker appointment locally. We'll see but at least she has really put my mind at rest. I am much happier.
Guy I am chatting to wants to call me and I am so nervous. I have put him off so far but reckon I will need to make a decision soon on whether I want that or not. I feel quite sick with nerves tbh. Beginning to wonder if it's worth all the angst.
NSD today. Soup for lunch and just fruit at work otherwise. Baked potato for dinner with beans and cheese as I forgot to take anything out of the freezer for dinner. Nice big cottage pie out for tomorrow night though. Ok heading for bed soon as too many late nights and early mornings this week xx

Good to hear the GP has seen DD and is going to speed the hospital appointment up. Fingers crossed for news on that one soon.
Is it likely you've met this chap going about daily life as he lives quite near? Brushed past each other at the YS shelf in Co-Op?He's probably nervous too.
Excellent healthy foods there MiT :T. When's the next weigh in - bet you've lost a good few more pounds. :T
You and me both on sleep...thank goodness it's almost the weekend.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Whoo hoo MIT on the dating scene - looking forward to hearing all the gory details
And well done on the weight loss - you are doing so well. x0 -
Oh LAM I hope the details will be juicy rather than gory
Ali I am trying very hard with the diet as I am not feeling fab about myself and how I look. If I was feeling confident then I would meet this guy in a heartbeat. He has seen my pic though and still talking so at least he has an idea of what I am like. Weigh in day is a Tuesday.
Went to Aldi on way home and spent £10.50 but £6.50 was on flowers and wine for my best pals as it is their wedding anniversary today. Just a wee cheapy but they were delighted. I think my friend is more excited than me about the 'date' :rotfl: So just £4 off of grocery budget and I will have a go and see if I can get away with that.
I am pretty sure at some point Ali I will have brushed past him. I recognise his face and it is a nice friendly wee face. Not good looking as such but 'nice' if you get me. I am not looking for adonis but more of a man who will be more interested in what's going on around him than looking in the mirror.
I am down to 73 meals in freezer now and they are still pretty full. Dunno how I fitted all the other ones in tbh. I have done my week's meal plan as follows:-
Sat- Fish fingers, dippers, crispy chicken, chips and beans ( using up end of packs)
Sun- Chicken casserole
Mon- Stir fry with chicken and ham
Tues- Shepherds pie
Wed- Pork (not sure what to do with it yet)
Thurs- Stew
Fri- Pizza, black pud and chips
Bit of a mish mash and subject to change. I don't actually need any shopping so as I said I will see if I can do without a shopping trip as such. I have free food to pick up tomorrow from Iceland as my friend in work gave me a full week's set of vouchers

This chap likes you for who you are right now, so go with the flow. Your confidence will come, just take baby steps with it - have a phone chat and see if you have a good conversation, if that goes well a coffee, etc.
Well done on the Ald! shop and plenty of meals in stock to keep your food budget down by looks of things.
All sounding very positive.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Sheesht been on the phone nearly 2 hours with said man  seems okay. Nice wee chat. Discovered a few folks we both know. The only niggle I have is that he was waxing lyrical about conspiracy theories which was boring me to death. Now my son and brother can chat for hours on this type of thing but not me , no thank you siree. He did say at one point am I boring you to death and I just laughed and said we-ell but he kept going :rotfl:. If I had known him better I'd have been saying wheesht man, enough already. We'll see. I adore my son and my brother so who knows he might just be perfect for me. Was nice to have a wee blether anyway.
Heading to bed soon. Just waiting on DD coming in from work and I'll head up x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Not been on all week but how exciting about a potential date:heartpuls
My son can be a bit odd at times as well with conspiracy theorys and general crap - he is a bit of a nerd!! I am glad he is still at college because he poses all his questions to his teachers and his equally nerdy mates!!
Saw everyone's weight loss - everyone is doing brilliantly:j
Reporting in a loss of 3lbs this week:T
I am really pleased, I am doing NST in the week and also 5:2 (I have done this before and lost about a stone but this time I hope to keep it up when I have lost the weight I need to)
Hope everyone has a good weekend and the sun shines!!0 -
EE fab weight loss there.
I have got my varifocals and I reckon once I get used to them I will love them. The distance is great but the reading bit is a bit strange and I have the funny feeling that 1 lens is off by a slight touch. I will persevere though and see how I get on.
Got my £9.50 of free food from Iceland. They didn't have everything on the list but the £9.50 just came off of the total anyway :j. Wish I had done the three lots now.
Went to asda as DS needed new boxers so I got him 6 pairs £16 ( I wouldn't pay that for my own) and they were the cheaper ones. I had to get a 10m electric cable reel so we can cut the grass at back of garden as my old cable had to be thrown out £12. I bought DD and I a wee air freshener for car £2 and spent £4 on a bottle wine for friends as I am heading out for a barbecue there this afternoon. I also spent £34.36 on shopping BUT I got an amazing bargain. I had 5 £1.50 vouchers for fairy dishwasher tabs and today they had a bag of 51 tabs on that were down from £16 to £5 so I got £80 of dishwasher tabs for £17.50 :j. I know I am trying to cut down on shopping spends but this was too good a deal to miss. I spent another £16.84 on food and toiletries. I spent £9.34 this morning in Iceland but stocked up on diluting juice as it is cheap as chips in there so £26.18 from shopping budget this week. I am very very happy with that
As I said I am off out to a barbecue. I have vodka that I brought home from Spain and wine for the hosts so I am ready to go. I got free chicken skewers from Iceland this morning so I will take them with me. My friend will pick me up and I will get a taxi back with my DS. So I best get organised. Have a great day

What a fab day yesterday. Barbecue was lovely, great company, sunshine galore, guitars for a wee jam and a sing song. If Carlsberg made great days out that would have been one of them. Feeling a bit fragile today and spent £28 as ended up in pub to see a band. YOLO! Am still in my budget so not getting overly concerned.
I'm doing great with the new glasses. Still getting used to them but doing okay. I think they will be fine. I lay in bed this morning reading and managed okay with that.
Quiet day today as my head is bouncing. Housework is calling me and weather is pants again so I best get on with it. Have a nice Sunday folks xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
