did it used to start? what happened before it stopped starting? was it running ok and the battery went dead and then nothing or did you buy it like it is, or something else.
and does it have an immobiliser0 -
Starter motor is springing to mind along with immobiliser issues, didn't want to say that as it had already been said before4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

hi yeah it used to start I put it in the garage and left it for a family member and now thay have given the car to me, it was starting ok but the battery is totally flat I tried jump starting it with a Chevrolet captiva but as I said every time I try and start it im getting ignition lights but when trying to turn the engine over nothing happens. oh yeah there is a emmobiliser.0

if you only get lights and it's not making any attempt to start, I'd put my money on it being the immobiliser.0

oh realy thanks do u know how to fix?0

Not a clue.
but how does it work? is it part of them central locking? could it be something as simple as:
you've opened the door with the key rather than the fob as the car battery is dead
you've hooked up a the other car to bump start
you turn the key
so effectively, you might not turned the immobiliser off. Does the key have a fob? have you hooked up the battery and then used the key fob for the central locking?0 -
sorry for the poor replys I had 2 use the key on the passenger door to enter the car then once I got everything opened and the jump leads connected I opened the doors up and locked them and opened again, tried to start but nothing happenes I also tried to push the car down the hill but wouldn't bump start0

Without bypassing the immobiliser you wont bump or jump start or just plain straight start it. That cos it immobilises everything so tea leafs cant start it. Yours is broke so it wont start till its fixed.0 -
oh thanks for your reply to this u got any idea how to fix that problem honest am trying not 2 tealeaf it.lol0

there's a similar issue http://www.justanswer.com/uk-nissan/2fb39-hi-having-problem-nissan-micra-wont-start.html
So it 'could' be that as your battery is well and truly dead the bump start isn't charging your batter enough to turn off the immobiliser. Might be worth trying a new battery on the Micra
but that's just a guess.0
