I've been adding up all my savings plans for the loan settlement and it's all on track. Will deffo get there in 2 years 11 months and could make it before then if I earn some more pennies from eBay and another part time job.

Let me see if I can get there sooner and apply my now acquired financial nouse to get there. I think I will.

Well I survived the first day at the new job. Completely different in every way to my other job. That is going to take some getting used to. Taking it one day at a time and then I will start to get used to it. It will be over in 12 months time as it's for one year and the countdown begins to the next phase of life and career. Who knows what I'll be doing then!

Quite tired and my legs are still really aching from Shred! Wish that would pack in!

Only bought train tickets today so it's NSD 6 and no clothes spend day 6

2nd day went ok and feel better about it today and starting to get to grips with things. Taking it slow though and not overloading myself by zooming though everything at top speed like I usually do.

It's another NSD today making it number 7 for money and clothes no spending

Had a good day settling in today and feeling a bit more at home if that's the right way to describe it at work! Also sorted out my finish times to get the train back I want to and also can do this with the hours I work , here's hoping it works out ok.

In other news my new outdoor coat arrived today and it looks lovely in a bright blue colour, very nice and it fits!

Of course its a NSD again as its a mad dash to and from the station to get to work and back which makes it very easy to grab those NSDs!

Thanks dfw here's some positivity for you!

Well back at old work this afternoon which was a little strange after being immersed in a new world this week and this morning. This is going to take some getting used to. Although it was good to catch up with everyone and tell them what it was like at the new place.

Today was food shop, petrol and eBay post all on budget meaning it is NSD 9 and no clothes spend day 9 too

Nice afternoon off running errand this afternoon. Got the dog some more toothpaste (I know!) and biscuits using money from his account. Then took the items to the antiques shop as planned and this went very well and my loan settlement account has increased by £50 as a result. That was a nice outcome for me too! It's now safely tucked away in the bank account after I paid it straight in, now on route to 2% saved up. Then finished off the weekly shop.

I'm going to take some more items in to see if the shop are interested in those and see what they think and if we can do a deal.

More good news is the job has gone through to get the trees cut back, not mine, and this should be done in the next couple of weeks. That's a job that's been on my list for a long long time I can tick off.

Rang the pension company to see if I can transfer in an old pension which I can't. So I will do this with the new one as I should have done this 10 years ago and I never got around to it. I now have another chance to do it with the new job and will make sure I do then that's another job to tick off I have put off for a long time!

Tonight's tea is Thai salmon and baked potato and veg after I've caught up on some cleaning as I'm determined not to leave it all to do this weekend!

It's really satisfying when you tick off those very long term items off your list. we'll done! I've got quite a few that I need to work on this year.
  • I too have got a list as long as my arm and some of the things just seem to stay on there from one year to the next :o So well done to you for getting a few of yours ticked off!
