buyer won't update their delivery address

Hi, a buyer has asked me to post to a different address as they have moved. I've told them no and to update their address on Ebay/Paypal. She has now replied saying she can't update her details using a mobile and she has no computer access. It all seems a bit odd, can she update using a phone? She hasn't paid for the item yet, is there a way I can block her paying if she uses her old address because if she does and again asks me to post to the different one I'm up the creek as I'll have to refund, which will of course lead to non payment, loss of fees, etc. Any advice appreciated.

Your buyer doesn't need to do anything until they pay, so don't get stressed.
When they pay, they have the option of using an address they have used before or adding a new one, it's very simple and neither of you should be worrying over it.0 -
Hi, thanks for the reply. Have told my buyer to add address but they just keep messaging me asking me to post to the alternative address and saying they can't alter it on Ebay/Paypal as they have no computer. To me that is ridiculous and I can't see why they can't update with their mobile. If they pay and use the old address I will have to refund and that creates lots of problems as checkout remains as completed, ie not possible to send 2nd invoice, not possible to open NPB.0

Tell them that you will only send to the address as instructed by paypal. And that when they pay, they will have the opportunity to put in a new address. That's it.0 -
as zerog says, don't post to a non confirmed address.
you know you know why, so just don't do it.0 -
November you are over complicating the matter.
Tell the buyer that AS they pay they can ADD a new address. Nothing needs UPDATING.
Addresses do NOT need to be confirmed, or verified or anything......they just need to be on the payment when the buyer makes it.0 -

ebay and pp recommend only using confirmed addresses.
for a reason.0 -

for a reason.
Read the postage sticky. Have a look at the first photo and read what it says - we recommend you post to the address on this page - that is all.
The address needs to be added to the payment stage. It doesn't need verification, confirming or anything.....I could pay now and add Buckingham Palace as the delivery address if I so desired. It would have full protection if I added it at payment.
You are confusing yourself with what Paypal need. The address needs to be on the payment page, then it will say OK to send.0 -
November2 is obviously not happy doing that, as I wouldn't, ive had it tried on myself and insisted it goes to a confirmed address. there was no problem. don't let peer pressure make you do what you not happy with. always get a signature on delivery.
Gosh, so much wrong with this, where to start?
November is asking for help because they don't understand the rules and clearly are confused by bad advice given by people like you who don't have a clue.
Insisting on a confirmed address means nothing, the address just needs to be added by the buyer as they pay. That is all! Nothing mysterious I even pointed you to a screenshot on the sticky, but no, you won't have it.
This forum is not peer pressure. :rotfl:
Signature? Oh my goodness, you know less than I thought.
You really need to read the postage guide, I know it can be daunting, but once you understand it is very clear.0 -
