Generally i do a roast dinner on a Sunday but if hubby is working away and comes back Friday for the weekend, i always do a full roast then as he eats all sorts of rubbish midweek. He has been working at home for the last three weeks so our sunday dinner is back to having it on a Sunday.

i try to cook a roast each sunday for my boys but it does depend on what we are doing on the day and how much time i have when it comes around to cooking it, things like a chicken can provide 2-3 days worth of meals for us so its worthwile cooking one.

this sundays chicken will stay in the freezer with ds2 being ill Joel and Owen are going to nanna's tomorrow untill sunday night

We don't do Sunday roast every Sunday! Depends what we are doing - have been known to have Beans on Toast. If family coming, yes probably. But we go to them and not always. Maybe more of an English Sunday lunch tradition than up here in Scotland. Sometimes have the old Mince and Tatties or Haggis!

Anyway, Hope you are OK and not too sore tonight!

We have a roast every Sunday, and on Monday we have the left over meat in a sauce served with boiled rice. I like that, it's an easy meal.

If we dont have the roast on the Sunday (if we are out or something like that) i normally do it on the Monday instead - it is an excellent way of getting the children to eat lots more veg too!!!

We mostly have a roast on Sundays - it's easy, apart from anything else!
Put the meat in the oven, get the veges ready, (potatoes boiled & ready to go in roasting tin) then when we come back from church, there it all is - just the veges to do!
We don't really have a favourite, although probably have chicken more than any other - it's cheaper & gives more leftovers!
Whichever meat we have, there is usually enough for Monday, maybe a pie, or curry, stir-fry, or just with jacket potatoes or chips, and sometimes enough for sandwiches for DH as well. But chicken has the advantage of soup as well!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I can't remember the last time we had one! Having said that, I'm veggie so they're not that exciting for me!
