need help-quickly please

I am using my computer in safe mode networking.

I had trouble installing wireless router last week, in the end got some computer person round to install it & move it upstairs. trouble is the next day when trying to post on here i keep getting the following message.

BAD REQUEST
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Client sent malformed host header.

Also, when trying to access my ntl e-mail account i get the following
either
NOT FOUND
The requested URL/files/do_login.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle the request.

BAD REQUEST

Request header field is missing colon separator.

x-browpost /files/ntl/do_login.php HTTP/1.1

My daughter cannot get into her msn or myspace & i cannot get into some other websites using my passwords.

Which web browser and operating system are you using? Does it also happen in another browser, e.g. Firefox? Also why are you using Safe mode? Does it happen in normal mode?

If IE7, try Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Restore advanced settings and restart IE. If that doesn't work try Reset on the same screen.

I am using mozilla & windows xp if that is what you mean. get the same problem using IE. The only way i can post on this forum is by starting up in safe mode networking. I can read posts but cannot reply to any in normal mode.

Done what you told me to do , no effect any more ideas. Would i be better to uninstall the wireless router & restore settings to before it was installed.

The person who installed it for me cannot be contacted.

try a system restore (start, help, system restore). routers don't need any software installing, but wireless network cards do. If system restore stops you getting on the internet, plug the network cable into the router

have you got an antivirus scanner/firewall on this pc?

Tried a systen restore but could not get internet.

Sorry for being a bit thick but what/where is the network cable.

If you can drag the PC to the router, then plug in the network cable, then do the system restore, hopefully it will fix this issue, but probably stop the wireless working, then you should be able to sort the wireless with help on here.

I am assuming that you have a network card in the PC?

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping that it could be done without moving computer but never mind. Would it be better removing d-link all together before a systen restore or won't it matter.

Do you only have one PC in the house?

By removing dlink, do you mean the wireless usb adapter?

Does the Pc have a normal ethernet card

One pc in house
I meant uninstall everything to do with the the D-link wireless router & re-install after system restore.
I have no idea whether pc has a normal ethernet card
