Ok we put our house on the market approx 4 weeks ago, proceed to sell and its a really nice house, plot and approx 5 years old.
We have had 2 viewings but no follow ups, anyway the wife rang the estate agent to see if any new interest, apparently our house is in their rating for online hots as 4th place yet its throwing up so few viewings?
Now the wife wants to add something along the lines of motivated seller etc in the description to draw more people in? I'm not to sure but told her to do whatever she wants...

Doesn't seem a good idea to advertise you're "motivated" unless you want offers well below your asking price.0

Price too high.0

There can be all sorts of reasons for low viewings - comparative properties on the market, price, time of year and estate agents' practices. I'm considering putting my house on the market but preferably with more than one agent.
Have you had a nosy round to see what others are asking for similar?
That said you never know. Had a property up for sale for ages once but no offers. Months on had given up, the sign had blown down and the house was a tip. One day there was a knock on the door. 'Is it still for sale?' Sold on the spot .
It's early days yet.

Stick it up and the forum collective will give you endless feedback. It nearly always comes down to what the Squid says though !0

Maybe all the hits are due to it being featured on a thread like this one? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3403965

Your house may well be in the price range where a lot og people are looking.
Nothing is hooking them in to say you really must come and view me.
Is this the price, the decor, the location. size of garden, only you can say!
If the price is right someone will buy it, are other houses selling?
Do you have lots of nosy friends and neighbours who are checking it out?0 -
Most people would kill to have 2 viewings in 4 weeks! Does the missus know the average time to sell a property??0

2 viewings in 4 weeks is a joke and nothing to "kill" for.
4 viewings in 2 days is what I would expect.0 -
