Redruby, my condolences, and as others have said take comfort that it was a peaceful passing with his family around him. Best wishes & take care of yourself over the coming days & weeks.

    Hi all.

I'm well confused, the thread header says Thursday 10th! But it doesn't take a lot to confuse me these days.:D

The Jack Russells were collected at 07:30 this morning; next guest, a Labrador named Ruby is due next Thursday.

Redruby so sorry to hear about your Dad; a peaceful journey to the Summerlands to him.

Luxor you're a braver woman than I; there's no way in this world I could ever inject myself, I'm totally needle-phobic; when we had diabetic dogs staying, Mr LW had to do their insulin jabs, I went wobbly just at the sight of the needle!

Gonzo I love the tattoo – I'd love to get an outline of a wolf done, but it's not terribly advisable with lupus. Plus I'm not sure how well I'd cope with actually having it done - probably be ok if we got a chap we know to do it; he runs a New Age style shop near here, and has a tattoo parlour attached. Maybe one day....
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'm already looking forward to my next...

BB - it's opposite my house! Carville's Tattoos, the Twyford one. I highly recommend them. They've got a shop in Reading and one in Burnham too.

    Morning all,

Sadly we lost my darling dad yesterday afternoon, he was surrounded by his family and the end was very peaceful but we are all heartbroken, have left dd in bed as she spent most of the day sobbing, she was the apple of her grandads eye.

    Thanks for being here xx[/QUOTE

I am so so sorry to hear about your dad. I know how much he was loved . My thoughts and prayers go to you , your mum , dd and all the family .
Don't forget we are all here for you xxx

Redruby - So sorry to hear of your Darling Dad's passing. We all know how much you all loved him and did all you could for him. Many hugs to you and your family.

What a glorious day again - washing nearly dried in the sunshine although it was 0 degrees when I went to work! In service today and got loads done, now have a week off to recover.

DD and I are going to visit family on Sunday for a couple of days - I think this is another of my avoidance tactics for packing the house! DD has an unexpected week off, if she doesn't take her holidays she will lose them, so we will visit while we have the chance.

Pasta for DD for tea, not sure what I will have, quite fancy a tin of tomato soup.

Have a good weekend everyone. Take care. XX
