Morning all,
Sadly we lost my darling dad yesterday afternoon, he was surrounded by his family and the end was very peaceful but we are all heartbroken, have left dd in bed as she spent most of the day sobbing, she was the apple of her grandads eye.
Thanks for being here xx
So very sorry to hear of your loss of your dear dad, my sympathies and thoughts with you and your family at this sad time.Carolbee0 -
Good Morning,
Redruby - Sorry about your dad. I hope you can take some comfort that you were there at the end.
DS2 has a day off (open days) he and DH were going fishing, but the weather is rubbish. Lots of rain all day, so I will have the two of them moping around. Will have to find DH some jobs to do, one of them being re siliconing where the loo meets the unit. It drives me crazy!
I think I will get mince out of the freezer and encourage DH to make pasta again and cook dinner
Forgot to say yesterday I was quite pleased with myself as I made my first Sock Monkey! He is so cute
Have a great Friday everyone.0 -
Morning all
Damp here, fish fed, hubby fed and dropped at work with 3 ready meals, he's working til 8 tonight.
I'm a lady wot lunches today, though I'm preparing the lunch, I have a friend visiting me today.
My plans include making banana bread, apple cake and apple butter as I've been given another bag of apples.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
redruby I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Well I should have gone shopping in town today but my leg is not working at all so I've postponed it, will have to do some online shopping instead:D
Hubby has gone to work and ds3 has gone to 6 th form after returning and picking up his big jacket. It does look cold wet and windy.
We need to do some food shopping this afternoon when dh gets back. Our friends are coming round for a curry tomorrow night. I will make a Thai green one it goes a long way and is made with chicken thighs, green beans and potatoes, so cheap and cheerful. Also have quite a bit of beer left from the party we had for my brother way back in September so it shouldn't cost much.
We need to finish Oscars bedroom this weekend and get started on ours, I would like to have it all done before we move in.
Well off for some caffeine, have a good day and wrap up warm xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Thinking of you and yours Redruby x
Just gave myself my injection and my leg is still stinging -ouch. Feeling quite gloomy so time to do something different to take my mind off things. Maybe something Santa-ish!
I'm still glad I took the early retirement, and I'm enjoying sorting out the house but I think DH needs to realise that I won't spend the time cleaning up after him...
Weather is bright, clear and chilly so the washing is out on the line.
Dinner tonight is from the freezer - probably chicken, vegetable rice and a sticky sauce.
Off to sort out the bedroom, then to don Santa hat and start wrapping.
Hugs & good wishes to all xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

redruby sorry to hear about your dad,we all know how much you adored him. You and the family will be in my prayers today xx
Lovely blustery day here, walking through crunchy leaves:j
Noah's year group have a WW2 day today where they go in dressed as 1940s evacuees with a box wrapped in brown paper with special things in and wartime lunch in paper bags.
Noah is very stressed by the change and has refused to join in and has gone in usual clothes etc in very angry hyper mood:(
Very odd walking back home through village passing loads of1940s kids!
Hibernation day today for me after busy awful week. I have a cold as does Asher Alice.
Will strip beds and wash bedding, tidy round, make bread.
Other than that its snuggle and keep warm time for me and Asher.
Am a little tired today as she isn't sleeping much this week at all.
Went to asher's yoga class yesterday and next week she starts baby sensory class.

Ruby - so sorry for your loss.
Well, OH and I went out for drinks last month and happened upon a new bar which we really liked, we also looked through the food menu and decided it was somewhere worth trying for food. Groupon has a 2 course for 2 for £9 sunday lunch offer at the same bar! So purchased that for a cheeky lazy day for us!0 -
Redruby So sorry to hear about your dad, you are in my thoughts.
This week has been so busy I don't even feel like I hav had time to breathe.
