  • redruby condolences to you and your family on your sad loss, cuddle DD and remind her how much she love and pleasure she brought to her Granddad's life.

Very chilly and windy and damp here in north Kent.My gardener donated some left over turfs for the bottom of my garden yesterday so in a way I am glad its been wet as it may help them to 'take' We had a good long chat about next years planting and how he will renovate my garden for me.Lovely chap and nothing is too much trouble for him.

I've got History club this afternoon and its all about WW1 and Ypres so I'm looking forward to that.
Washing is all done AND ironed AND put away .I can't believe how much I have caught up with myself .Just read a book called 'Ruth Ellis :My sisters life' and found it quite facinating.I could hardly put it down.Great read if you are as old as I am and can remember what happened.Having read the book I think she should have been reprieved as it looks like a great deal of circumstantial evidence convicted her, some very murky things happened, cracking good read though.
Right time I got a wriggle on and did a bit of hoovering I think
Take care all and keep warm in the wind
    Cheers JackieO xxx

    Morning all,

Redruby, so sorry to hear about your Dad. Much love to you all at this time.

Westward blow.... hahaha love it! Must admit it was rather blowey but the beach was lovely. I made sure I was wrapped up though. I need a warm hat if i'm honest but warm hats remind me of my Mother so i'll resist the urge to buy one a little longer. My hair is getting longer and blows all over the place.

Only got up out of bed an hour ago. I was playing on my phone for a while. Millie dog got me out of bed twice in the early hours for a wee but at least she didn't slip her harness this time. She was raring to go at 9 this morning so I told hubby it was his turn.

Don't want to go on the beaches today. 1. because my trainers are still wet from yesterday and 2. because its so cold. Anyway, hubby has just took thok the 'Girls' for a long walk. Hopefully it will tire them out.

I'll spend the time after this post vacuuming the van throughout and tidying the place up a bit. The place looks like a bomb site.

Ive also altered my eating pattern. At home I usually eat muesli for my breakfast but hubby has a full English. Ive been eating what he's been having whilst we have been away but less of it but I really feel sluggish and have put on weight.... so I picked up some muesli yesterday..... I'm going back to it today.

Anyway, the vacuuming isn't going to get done by itself so, hoping you all have a good day. I'll catch up with you later.

    Morning all,
Sadly we lost my darling dad yesterday afternoon, he was surrounded by his family and the end was very peaceful but we are all heartbroken, have left dd in bed as she spent most of the day sobbing, she was the apple of her grandads eye.
    Thanks for being here xx
Hope you all got some solace from being together at the end. DD will obviously take it hard, but I'm sure mum's hugs will help her cope with the loss. Try and get her to focus on happy memories of their time together, always a good coping mechanism.
Take time to grieve properly for your loss. The next day or two you will be probably numb and the loss will seem unreal. BIG HUGS.
  • Thank goodness it's Friday indeed, even though the title of the thread says Thursday - very confusing!!
