£1 TT this morning. Bank accounts are looking a bit tight, so will have to be careful for the rest of the month.

    Hopefully a NSD today

Been a busy weekend, but have sold a DVD so will have £6 odd winging it's way to me, and today we used £6 vouchers on cheese and yogurts so will transfer that over to the OP pot.

Almost there for an £100 overpayment.

A bit late to the party here :rotfl:.

I agree with the others that it makes sense to pay off the biggest APR first. That will then leave you with spare cash each month but you can't chuck it all at the 2nd mortgage because of the 10% restriction. Is it worth checking whether, when the time comes, you could reduce the term on it so your regular monthly payment automatically increased?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

I'm definitely going to concentrate on the higher mortgage and leave the little one alone unless rates change in the future. We'll reasssess the fixes when the time comes to re fix.

£21.10 landed today from completely free, no deposit bingo so that's moved across. Soooooo close to being able to send £100 over, but no spare money left in my account until payday which feels like ages away.
  • Good luck yukkibear. £100 chunks sounds like a good plan! We also have 2 mortgages, with only about £8k between then but focussing on the one with the higher APR. :)
    OPs Jan - Dec 2013: 6915/6000
    OPs Jan - Dec 2014: 3900/7500
    Adding to savings: 550/2000

£100 sent to the higher mortgage this morning :j

I'm going to aim for 300 of these payments in total and that should see us almost clear with a small balance on the lower mortgage.

so just 299 left then :rotfl:

I've been having a mini clear out in preparation for xmas, so a few local sales over the last few days and £5.50 into the pot.

£6.76 into the OP pot tonight from a small online sale. Bank accounts are dire though, really need to look at the budget for next month and try to recoup some before xmas.

Payday! Phew it was getting a bit hairy there at the end of the month.

I've moved £48.62 from overtime and £6.86 from an Amzon sale over. Also just had £5 from a FB sale, so the pot is almost to the next £100 again.

I've joined the Make £10 a day thread for November as it would be great to achieve that and be able to OP it all.

Need to think about xmas pressie though. I have points and vouchers hanging around so will have to work out the best way to spend those and save some money.
