Here We Go Again - SSE Announce Price Increases

    Oh dear - and I've only just moved to SSE...!!! Down goes the thermostat again to compensate for a short while as if everyone does that, the equilibrium of cost/supply/profit changes so the unit price will go up again most probably.
  • That's the real damning indictment of the push to get people to consume less - because the industry main players have shareholders, dividends to pay and hence profits to maintain/maximise, any decrease in annual consumption by the UK populace will inevitably result in a proportionate increase in prices per unit. The industry has been sold off, it's in the hands, certainly in some cases, I suspect the Govt. wouldn't have sold to in the first place. The ONLY chance we have is that a Govt. with actual balls decides to regulate it PROPERLY. Don't hold your breath.
