That seems like now, I was asked when I logged in last which method I would prefer - limit access, digital key on my phone or a SecureKey.

I'm guessing that its not going to be long before banks start charging for communications by post - by offering people who opt for electronic delivery incentives such as certain in-credit interest (such as TSB with their Plus account).

This is not a 'problem' this is to increase your security!



Maybe it hasn't been explained to you properly by the bank.


The way these One-Time-Pass codes work is that, if your username and password is compromised because:

1. of an issue at the bank
2. Your machine has been hacked
3. You've used the same credentials on another site that has been hacked
4. ...

Then the one time password is there to verify that it is you, by sending a unique message to your phone - which you physically have.

The downside to this is that if your phone has been stolen at the same time then it might not work - but what are the odds of that happening?

I'd strongly advise you to set this sort of system up when offered!
