Hi,
I received a ticket on my window for leaving the car park (!!!!!!?!) after spending a shedload of cash in the shops on the retail park I parked at, I popped over the road to Pizza Hut, left the car there and got done!?
What is the best and latest advice for this. It happened on the 27th Sept?
Thanks all in advance

You complain firstly to the Store manager and insist that it is cancelled. As per the sticky thread 'successful complaints against PPCs' (second to top of this forum right now).
If no joy, email the CEO of the Store, same complaint, angry customer mode.
If no joy, DO NOT rspond to the windscreen fake PCN. wait for the Notice to keeper in the post (Nov/Dec) as long as you are the registered keeper with the DVLA. That would be the time to challenge it as keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OK, thanks for the advice.
I will have to wait for the notice to keeper thing as there are a number of stores there.
What should I do when that pitches up? I could well do without a CCJ but I don't want to pay these cowboys, especially after spending 200 quid at the shops while parked there and just popped over the road for a pizza!0 -
You sound in a similar situation to me. Feel free to skim my current thread, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4784899

I wouldn't hold back on trying to find out who has contracted the PPC to (mis)manage the car park - but DON'T do this by contacting the PPC, so that you can get on with targeting your complaint to the correct party. Just sitting and waiting for your NtK to arrive will lose you up to 2 months (the PPC has up to 56 days to issue the NtK) of valuable time to nip this in the bud soonest. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As Umkomaas says, don't waste time now when you should be complaining. I take it you haven't read the sticky threads yet at the top of the forum, for newbies' information? I have one there called 'successful complaints about PPCs' and it shows that Store Managers and CEOs in multi-store retail parks DO have the clout to cancel these fake PCNs for customers but it's best if you complain straight away and with a receipt. Read that sticky thread - you will see how many successes have been reported in just a few weeks since I started the thread, and you will notice that it's sometimes a random Store Manager who steps in, even in a massive retail park.
Don't lose 3 months by waiting until the NTK (Nov/Dec) - and then it's Christmas & New Year - and before you know it you won't have complained, won't have the receipt any more and will have missed the deadline to appeal the NTK if the holiday period gets in the way.
Most retail park managing agents are EASY to find if it's a fairly large retail park with a name. Google it, read newspaper and retail article results and find out who is given as the contact who runs the place. Complain to them AND to the Store Managers, be businesslike and assertive and put it in writing if you can't march back in there suited and booted soon!PRIVATE 'PCN'? OK, right I have now received a NTK through the post.
Am I right in thinking that the procedure is that I appeal that, which will be rejected and I then appeal to POPLA?
If so, are there any template type letters I can use and are there any important points I need to remember to include?
Sorry for being such an idiot but there is so much information here that it is slightly confusing and these cowboys are not getting my cash!0 -
Can you post a picture of the NtK with ALL personal information covered - this is just to double check that it is compliant (a lot aren't)??
But yes, in essence, that is your path to take. There's numerous templates on here for a soft appeal - I have one in my thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4774859 - or just search for 'template' in this forum. This is my *anonymous* account on MSE Forums - I post under a different username normally.0 -

That thread should provide all the guidance you need.

upload the images to imgur.com - then post the supplied links here. You won't be able to post because you don't have enough post history, so just leave off the http:// and we'll sort it out for you. This is my *anonymous* account on MSE Forums - I post under a different username normally.0
