New yahoo mail

i don't really like it, because:
1) email subjects are now truncated
2) why yahoo keep on putting the large ad on the right? it's amazingly annoying
3) the video ad at the login page (this one has been there for quite some time already).. mind you sometimes I use my mobile phone with very limited data plan to check my mail... and the video ad would consume unnecessary bandwidth faster than it should..
4) and yahoo should remove the top menu which contains Home, Mail, News, Sports links etc...0 -
in gmail 'conversation view' is easily turned OFF in settings0

Oooh I HATE it.
All my messages are scrunched up together and it's hard to read. And I didn't realise what they'd done but you're all right! They've lumped conversations together, so each person has their own "thread" rather than separate e-mails. So now I have to hunt through a "thread" to find an answer.
Any idea how to turn the conversation thing OFF?0 -
The stupid reply to sender and forward arrows that look (and are placed) like navigation arrows are crazy.
After having to avoid using the browser's back button for ages their users are now expected to not do what most other interfaces expect.0 -

goto settings (cog wheel top right). you can also alter the spacing out of your messages (message list density)in the viewing mail section.0 -
I hate the new layout, so in the settings i revert it back to the classic layout and save it, but then when i go back into my yahoo it has again reverted back to the new layout0

NO ads on my page, if fact the page looks quite bare. Other than the list of email messages that I for the moment choose to keep, and the short list on the left, ie inbox/sent/spam etc, there isn't anything else. Maybe it's because I have pop-up blocker etc installed. It would seem to me that you DON'T need to have them, it's just a case of experimenting to see how you remove them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. For some unknown reason I can't display any messages. The list is visible on the left but all blank to the right. When I try to open a message there's just a "flash" on the blank section and nothing happens. Android tablet. I tried removing both accounts and re loading them but just the same. Not tried on a p.c. yet to check it's only an Android thing.
It was all working fine earlier on the same tablet.0 -
I along with many other Samsung tab2 users couldn't open any emails after the forced update to Yahoo's mail app. Despite Yahoo saying just clear cache and all will be well (it wasn't! ) and many emails (using g.mail) l worked it out myself by going to yahoo settings (at the bottom of your folders) and clicking on your account (your email address) then untick the sync contacts setting now I can finally read emails.
Hope this helps someone else.0 -

seems quite a few don't like the makeover. It also mentions other features no longer available such as sort by sender.0
