I thought it would be creAm because it was cream in the brochure for the house. I had a conversation with the sales exec about how attractive the house was rendered in cream. It never entered my mind it would be any other colour. .
Then you should have your solicitor raise that point with the builders and see if there is a way to not complete the sale without penalty, or for the builder to redo the external colour.
I'd be fairly peeved if it happened to me, it seems at best to be sloppy sales techniques, if the conversation has been had that you thought it would be cream.
Although in fairness, I'd also have insisted on specifications including external colour being part of the sales contract.
Seems you may have grounds to challenge it, take legal advice though if you've already paid deposits and committed to the deal.
