Also, speeding in residential areas - why aren't speed cameras put there??

Because there are not enough people that speed in built up areas so there would not be enough profit in them.

A slow vehicle is one that can only move slowly. A slow moving vehicle could be any vehicle that is moving slowly. It's not rocket science.

That is an informal use of slow moving to mean slowly moving.
It's not rocket science, it's basic English.

People who get in the right hand lane heading towards a roundabout but want to go left and travel 1 and a quarter times round the roundabout to make the left turn...

I have been known to do this if I'm in an area that I don't know (I travel sometimes with my work) especially as I don't have a satnav (personal choice). But it doesn't happen often.

For me, it is far better to approach a roundabout assuming to turn right if I am uncertain of which exit I actually need rather than to pick a wrong lane and then try and force my way round, or even worse, turn left, get lost and hold traffic up trying to turn around.

I must stress that I would only do this if I was not in an area I knew, or if I managed to disorientate myself as I am usually very good at memorising directions.
My pet hate at the moment is burkes driving their cars during daytime with their main beams on, blinding anyone they're driving behind who may happen to check their rear mirror (as you're supposed to do from time-to-time) or pedestrians who they're driving in the direction of...

Do you think this is more of a "modern" bulb problem coupled with miss-aligned headlights?

The number of times I've been blinded by an oncoming car and thinking they had their main beam on, only to realise that it was just an incredibly bright bulb.

Depends on how sensitive they camera was ;-)

Besides, speed camera's cause more issues than they solve as idiots brake rather than keep a constant speed. Once had a car slow to 15 in a 30 zone because there was a camera.

Now the dark mornings and the dark evenings are rolling in, it seems to be people either don't have any lights on or full beams dazzling you.

Driving to work 6 am this morning, super duper dark, there's still people razzing around with not a single light on. An especially 'good' one was a black Audi with fully tinted windows and no lights. Talk about a bloody ninja. Accident waiting to happen!

Cyclists are annoying me at the moment. Not single cyclists but those that come in pairs that like to cycle next to each other so they can chat. They block the road making it hard to overtake them. Very irritating.

It is annoying having to overtake cyclists sometimes, but there are some drivers that really take risks doing so. Was driving to work the other day and saw two cars overtake a cyclist on a blind bend. Just around the bend was a steep hill so any oncoming traffic wouldn't be stopping quickly.

Once on the hill another car overtook him just before the brow of the hill. It's not possible to see oncoming traffic until you're practically at the top so that was another big risk.

There is a shortcut on our way to come home, it's a left turn down a back road. We use it daily and almost every single time a car is so desperate to get in front of a cyclist that they put their foot down and left hook the cyclist, sometimes causing the cyclist to fall off due to having to stop so fast. We've had cyclists who haven't been able to and have clipped the backside of the car, fell off, we've stopped for them and told them we saw it and the response was, "Don't worry mate, it happens all the time."

If people just hung back for literally two seconds, they could save an accident. It's pure impatience.

This is pretty common, when i cycle to work, i go over this bridge which is pretty narrow and on a blind bend.
Usually i move right out into the middle of the road so cars cant get past me, which often annoys the drivers behind and they continuously honk trying to get past.
Whenever i do move over, the car behind almost always tries to overtake, and usually they either clip the car coming the other way or they move back in going straight into me.

Its not like its a long road either, its only about 50 meters, and it takes all of 20 seconds to cover it, but some people simply cant wait that long

Unfortunately, I think that pretty much sums up the majority of all road users these days - cars, trucks, motorbikes, and cyclists... they are all as bad as each other.

This very morning I was in a slow moving queue of traffic and I could see a car ahead wanting to pull out and turn left to join the queue - probably about 4 - 5 cars ahead.

Not one person let him out until I got there. I slowed slightly (not braking), allowing a space to build for him to pull out, and the !!!!!! behind me had the nerve to lean on his horn. Utter madness - I simply do not understand people like that.

This happens every single morning on our commute. We have to use one of the main roads into the city centre, which goes through heavy residential with lots of roads coming off it. We always let one car per junction (if traffic isn't moving) in front of us, and more often than not my OH sees in his wing mirror the person behind waving their arms around because we had the audacity to let someone in.

On the flip side though, A LOT of people coming out from these slip roads will not wait. They come raging up to the junction and ram their front end out instantly to push their way in, or if they're joining from the opposite side of the road they won't stop at the junction and simply sit in the middle of the road trying to push in while obstructing the other lane of traffic. We will do our utmost not to let these people in, in all honesty. People that sit at the junction and wait can go right ahead, but not them. I'd understand if they got fed up if they were waiting there for a long time, but they aren't even waiting seconds.

Another example of dangerous driving due to impatience, a road near us is one way at the moment (the other side is totally coned up). There's a traffic island with lights on it just before it goes one way. We were sat at the red lights the other day, white van comes racing up behind us, swerves around us, around the traffic island onto the opposite side of the road, straight through red (wasn't even close to yellow, we were waiting 10-15 seconds after this for yellow) and swerves back to the right side of the road.

It is incredible, and most of the dangerous stunts people do to try and save themselves seconds actually don't get them any further or one car ahead, and for what? Almost causing an accident.
