Problems at Hargreaves Lansdown?

Spent over 8 hours trying to sell my Royal Mail shares today - £250 profit in 3 days seemed too good to miss - but HL site has been a mess and wouldn't allow me to sell (in fact at one point it claimed I didn't have any holdings with them) and the phone lines were engaged all day.
Horrible service - volumes aren't an excuse for a disaster of this scale - apparently Barclays Stockbrokers had no problems at all today. Clearly HL didn't sufficiently stress test their systems or processes. Happy to push the sale hard, given they knew they would make £12.00 for each share sale, but incapable of meeting volumes of selling, which couldn't have been entirely unpredictable.
I've already sent a complaint - the chances are that I've made a loss from the price I tried to sell at 8:30. They will have to compensate customers or find themselves with an awful lot of Financial Ombudsman referrals. Agree with an earlier poster - the HL share price will probably suffer - the compensation costs will be huge. Also makes me wonder if I should move my other holdings away from HL - if they can't handle this, what would happen in a real crisis.0
