Something bought for or given to someone else is a 'present' not all people are as obsessed with how much something costs. You have to be grateful that someone has bought something for you, or kids, not everyone can afford £40 games everytime.

This has given me a plan. I'm going to buy all my teenage nephew and nieces (I have 6) a tin of sweets, and something else little to go on top of it. Their familes are very well off but they're lovely children and won't think about the money. Plus I think they'll be very pleased to get a whole tin of chocs to themselves (although their parents might not thank me so much).

I'm 26 and was bold enough to ask for an i pod shuffle this year when Mum said she was struggling for ideas.
I was over the moon to get one for Christmas!

banchory morries still has stock but no minature heroes, just everything else and the swizzles tin.

It is on the one deal only thing. The cashier said that the machine won't let her put through more but she let us seperate our purchases so that we got two deals. So that was nice of her.

Just thought I would let anybody up in this neck of the woods know that there is still stuff there.

I used to give my kids (now teenagers) a selection box, now they get one of these tins each. I also give them to my nieces and nephews, they all love them. I too would be utterly horrified if one of my kids didn't appreciate any gift, no matter how low the cost. In fact I've often found they seem to love all of the little things as much as any larger gift.

  • Toto mine were really excited last year by their Christmas Eve hampers that I gave them in the afternoon, just a few little bits; their favourite chocolate, hot chocolate drink, new pjs and a few bits and the same with the little candy cane sleighs on their place settings at Chrsitmas lunch, they asked if I could do both of those again this year as they loved unwrapping each little thing - thank heavens for the vast majority of people it really is still the thought that counts and not the amount of money somebody spends!
