Been on school run, actually made it on time today. I find juggling this baby feeding and school run thing a challenge. Last week the school gave a letter to dd1 with a tear off slip saying she's been late x amount of times, please sign to acknowledge with a comment. I took it straight to the office with my comment. I have a 4 week old baby and am still meant to be taking it easy after c-sec let alone shouldn't be driving, I'll let you sign it as you see fit. Feel a bit bad now. Not very mature.
Done some ironing, still have a fair whack, all dailies except hoovering which will happen after I've emptied it and fed the baby.

    Tuesday - Stairs/landing/Airing cupboard/kids room
    15 minutes....
[STRIKE]Get everything out of airing cupboard, sort out, put back what you actually need, recycle/rehome as need be.[/STRIKE] it's still tidy from the last time I did this  I do need to empty the bottom shelf and vacuum the floor though.
    [STRIKE]Test smoke alarms[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare....
    Hoover floors
Strip bed/s and wash any bedding -- girls' room for me
    Got an hour....
    Dust shelves
[STRIKE]Check kids/ OH’s [/STRIKE]/ Your [STRIKE]wellington boots fit and are water tight no splits, replace now before there is a shortage if needed [/STRIKE]-- I haven't owned a pair of wellies since I was about 6! Time to remedy that.
    Clean a window or two

    Extras
[STRIKE]Pair up all odd socks, declutter the rest to recycling/nursery[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe any marks off the walls - magic sponges are excellent[/STRIKE]
Spot clean any rugs -- no rugs but there are a [STRIKE]ton of [/STRIKE] few marks on the LR carpet so I'll have a go at those instead.
    [STRIKE]Ald! run[/STRIKE]
    Phone tax credits :'(

Finally got a replacement smoke alarm for outside the kitchen today after forgetting the last time it was on the list :o They have them in Ald!, £7.99 for two and they're the sort you can change the battery in, which is a billy bonus -- I hate having to throw the whole alarm away just because the battery's dud!
As an aside, Ald! are now doing fresh cream cakes -- rubbish, not worth the calories in my opinion.

DH has been into school for a meeting with DSS's science head -- his grades have dropped off dramatically, he sat his GCSE chemistry a year early and was predicted an A*, he got a C. He is a very bright lad but his attitude towards school has descended into "couldn't give a toss". He has been put on report for a fortnight, lost his privileges and has to see the governor on Friday. I am hoping this will scare him into pulling his socks up

DS2 has forgotten his PE kit AGAIN, despite me asking if he had it in his bag when we left the house  so I'll have to drop it off. Will combine this is with chucking my repeat prescription into the doctors and doing the bottle bank Walk of Shame so it's not a completely waste trip.

Once I'm back I'll crack on with the lists and have a proper catch up with the thread.

Bossy I make lists on top of lists its the only way for me to get things done and I love crossing through the tasks I have completed -sad or what!!!!

No, sometimes it's the only way to realise exactly what you've achieved. :D

Morning ladies, time for me to join you all again.

Every morning feels like a fight trying to get DD up for school at the moment, so time is wasted doing that.

Emptied dishwasher and made DD's breakfast, fixed her hair and brushed her teeth.

    Beds made, then cuppa ;)

Rang chemist to see if they had collected my prescription from Dr's. Rang dentist as they had changed us to another dentist in the same practise, but she seemed like a trainee or something. I realise everyone needs to learn, but just not on my teeth :D. Dh was in with her last week and she didn't seem to know what she was doing and the assistant was telling her what to do!!! I've asked to be changed back to the original dentist we registered with.

3 loads washing done, hung up or put in tumble dryer accordingly.

Had breakfast and caught up on Emmerdale, then I went to check on next door neighbours house as he's gone to America for 2 weeks with work. Brought in his bin and ours.

Tidied hall table, this is turning into a real dumping ground and it's the first thing you see when coming in the front door.

Also cooked some chicken breasts to use in curry for dinner tonight.

Have a great day folks :T

Have a hug. The school could have handled that so much more compassionately. It is early days and things will settle down, can anybody help you with the school run for a while?

Been to town. Time to put out WM2 and put the shopping away before going to my friends either on my bike or walking as Bossy you have indly given me stars which I doubt I have fully earned.

Thanks dusty my mum helped for the first 2 weeks which was great and a friend helps with the pick up every now and then. Fortunately Dd1 is very independent so it's just a case of getting there. Which we do but not always to the minute. Saying that she's never been more than 5 mins late.

I've hung out the washing, had some toast, hoovered, fed the baby.
