    Morning all.

Will be working from my own list today. DD has asked me to tweek some pictures for her homework again. She's grabbed some photos from online and wants the background taking out so its just a plain colour. She's done most of it, but she's not very quick at the detailed editing and has asked me as I've done similar stuff quite a lot in the past. She has honestly done the rest of the work herself, but doing computer based images which aren't just a case of resizing something grabbed from the internet is slow going for her. It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't about 9 of them! The pictures then need to be shaped as they're to make a "Wheel of Life" for RS, hence the plain coloured background, much quicker to 'shape' using the fill option on paint ;) So I expect that will take me most of the day. Going to do it in 1 hour bursts though as too much editing like that is bad for my eyes & back :rotfl:

If its gone its done or not applicable:

    Personal:
    Edit pics : Background / wheel / Characters / Gods / Giants / Ghosts / pain / animals / humans
Work: Sort returns / make list of houses to deliver books to / prepare books
    Finances : Update
    Mr A shop
    Laundry
    Wash up
Tea (not sausage, or chicken.....maybe pasta? )

Monday - Bathroom, shower room, toilet :j:j

    Tuesday - Stairs/landing/Airing cupboard/kids room
    15 minutes....
    Test smoke alarms
    30 minutes to spare....
    Hoover floors
Strip bed/s and wash any bedding
    Got an hour....
    Dust shelves
    Clean a window or two
    Extras
Wipe any marks off the walls - magic sponges are excellent
    Spot clean any rugs

Right I best get on with these pics. First one should be easy ;)

Going to be a bit of a delay with me starting jobs today. DD1 isn't well so is still in bed :( Think it's rather unkind to be testing smoke alarms and hovering when she trying to sleep :A
All I've done so far is unload the airer (clothes that wouldn't fit on the line yesterday) and load the TD with bedding I washed over night. Oh and have a coffee :D
I forgot to get the washing in yesterday as I went to the vet with my neighbour and my cat that moved in with them :o They still class her as my cat even though she lives there, they feed her and she has a bed, scratch post and litter tray there that they brought. It's only the vet and the microchip in my name and my neighbour paid for the vet :o
It's really foggy here this morning but I'm going to leave the washing out for the moment, see if it clears. If not it'll go on the airer.
I'm going to strip my bed and put that on in a minute. DD1 has just staggered down the stairs, not been sick, doesn't feel actually sick but has washing machine tummy :(
    No more delay off I go . . .

So your plans to get a new one/new battery this week, yes?.
Yes! It's a wired in one. Told hubby so he'll look at it tonight. I think that this particular unit may be faulty.
I think that as well as the (working) upstairs one we have a battery one near the stairs.
If it wasn't for this thread and folks like you I wouldn't have known there was a problem. :A

Sorted through the airing cupboard. I've been getting rid of surplus bedding to a local church charity that helps out people in need. They operate some sort of voucher system.
Anyway the upshot is that the airing cupboard is now a lot easier to organize. There's much less stuff in there. I think there may be room to store the lighter duvets and possibly some bulk bought toilet rolls! Space, storage, yay!
    :j

PS: If you haven't checked your fire alarm please do. They usually have a button in the middle that you press for a few seconds (usually labelled test).
PPS: Once you've checked it you have my permission to enjoy a tea and a biscuit :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

  • I have a clean bathroom! I need to shine the glass shelf and mirrors but will do that this evening. I got a wash on and hung up to dry and went to bed with a shiny sink.

The airing cupboard will be getting no attention tonight though as we have a birthday celebration to go to but it's not too grim in there.

Hoping that everyone has a tip-top day.

Is anyone else a lists / notes addict? I feel a bit out of control of things at the moment. Might go look for my notebook and diary and see if I can make sense of life :rotfl: I can organise my meal plan, I have parents evenings this month and various things I need to plan for but my head is sieve-like.:rotfl:

Yes, me too:o DH often asks if I have made a list of my lists!
Going to put the washing out and then go to go to the garage as the wheel DH took off needs a new valve and I don't like driving around with the spare on. DH has gone into the office today so it's lovely and quiet:D Going to get the sewing machine going too I think!
