As a privateer don't bother with auction, because if it's good and clean and sellable, the only way you are buying is if it's one the big boy buyers don't want it on their forecourt, or they've run you up for a laugh.
I don't agree. If you know what you're doing and keep your head then a privateer is always going to be at an advantage when buying to keep (rather than buying to sell) as they don't have to worry about profit margins etc, even including buyer fees. I've saved thousands over the years buying clean, low mileage, year old cars.
I get slagged off when I mention CarGiant on here usually that I work there.
But I wouldn't buy from that particular dealer, has been I trouble with trading standards for selling non UK Opels as Vauxhalls, but forgot or was to tight to change the airbags.
Fords of Winsfords used to be ok, as did Motorpoint. CarGiant has good selection of stock.
BCA in Blackbushe have a very large selection of ex lease vehicles.
