My 12 plate Kia Cee'd is an ex Hertz rental. 1 year old, 13000 miles and it was immaculate when I took delivery. I bought it from a local Kia dealer. & 7 years warranty from when I bought it at 1 year old.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

I thought KIA gave the remainder of the 7 years from when it was first registered.0 -

Have a look at Arnold Clark and Motopoint, plenty of 1-2 year old Astra types.0

It's a lot less than that. The buyer fee for a £20k purchase at a BCA was around £700 the last time I looked.
Depends what sort of card you've got. For an occassional or one off, the fees are off the chain.
I've said it a lot of times, but if I wanted the best odds of getting a decent car from auction, without paying daft fees, I'd go to Aston Barclay.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
That was the package as offered to me when I bought the car. It was not something that I had to negotiate. I imagine that the package was put together by Kia to move ex rental cars. I am quite happy with the car so far.
Kia now offer 7 years on used approved which are low milage up to a year old cars bought through their dealer network.
I hear good things about their warranty support and if buying privately this would be a big decision factor for me.0 -
As a privateer don't bother with auction, because if it's good and clean and sellable, the only way you are buying is if it's one the big boy buyers don't want it on their forecourt, or they've run you up for a laugh. Bear in mind too that even though it's declining, business cars account for 55%+ of new car registrations and that the percentage figure is much higher for the fleet kings, Ford and GM. Therefore if your looking at a young Astra on any forecourt, it probably has been a company/lease/hire/"managers"/press or otherwise heavily used bus anyway. Modern cars don't half wear well and shine up nicely!0
