From two facts in your post
1 Having to cancel and make new contracts
2 A "Special team" asking for money to survey and install
it sounds as though the "special team" is NOT Sky but a local specialist firm of installers who handle communal installations etc for Sky. Sky will NOT do communal installations and have height restrictions on how high their installers are allowed to go (not above 3 stories etc) so pass these over to local firms for you to negotiate with. How high is the OP's block of flats? The terms for a free/subsidised "standard installation" are clearly set out in their "Terms and conditions" on line.

I'm at a three stories bulding I think

I'm not comfortable anymore with SKY TV

It will consume a lot of time and they failed to help me and cansel my contract I'll be happy with a broadband from them : )

    O.K

I talked with LL and he said we have aerial : )

so I went to Argos and bought :

    1. aerial cable.
    2. Bush HD Digital Box ( written in the right Freesat HD ).
    3. HDMI cable.

I extracted my new TV from the box ( I bought it two weeks ago )
then I plugged the aerial cable into the TV and I got channels
    I was so happy : )

thank you very much guys : )

now I have the new HD Digital Box which I may need or I don't depending on freeview !

If I opened it and plug the aerial cable and connected it to the TV with HDMI cable , will it work ?

will the reception be stronger ?

will the channels be clearer ?

    what is your advice ?

    * I need to be certain because I think Argos may not take it back if it was open !

sorry for taking too long to reply at your helpful advice

I spoke to the cancellations department of SKY recently to get better deal on my broadband. The lady there said they do Sky GO without the need for a TV package for people who can't have sky installed. Might be worth ringing that department up. The other departments weren't aware they could do that. The cancellations department often has access to more facilities than other departments.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

If you did buy a freesat HD box find the receipt and return it. It needs a dish to work.

If your TV has a Freeview HD tuner then you'll be able to receive the HD channels, if I recall BBC1 HD is on channel 100.

Get yourself a Freeview PVR if you want to record stuff, Humax make decent ones.

(PVR = Personal Video Recorder, eg. a Freeview box with a hard disk to record programmes.)

The only point of using a Freeview HD box is to get the 4 Freeview HD channels if your TV does not have a built in HD tuner-which we don't know, since you didn't give the make and model.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

  • You might want to get something like this

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Midnight-XBMC-Smart-Streaming/dp/B00CI7O8G0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1381808861&sr=8-2&keywords=xbmc+android

They are Amazing. TV channels from all over the world via the internet. As many films on demand as Lovefilm instant seems to have, loads of TV series via streaming as well. No more cost than the box because it's all via the internet. It mainly involves using a program called XBMC which is already installed.
