I really don't get this training your body to go thing. Your intestines are metres long how can you control the speed at which they push waste out?

I have ibs anyway but even before I had that there were still occasions where I would really need to go out of nowhere and would have been painful not to.

Not an email, but notices apeared on the toilet doors at work when we had an outbreak of bogey smearing and (presumably) menstrual blood smearing and spattering. How strangely common these disgusting toilet habits are.

OH works in building maintenance and has the odd strange story too. Like the great pile of poo and toilet paper blocking one toilet in the ladies. It had been set alight. Perhaps someone panicked and wanted to destroy the evidence?

Nope, sorry, that just changes the colour, it doesn't clean. Toilet duck fresh brush with the handle wiped after use with an anti-bac wipe is in use here.

Yes that was kind of my point about scrubbing being needed, you expressed it better than me! :D

Well, let's hope that you never do have children, nor have to deal with anyone elderly ...nor, as someone else has suggested, that you or your OH suffer from IBS at any time!

Well we don't want children so I hope we never have any as well. I don't have any problem with my own functions or my husbands as previously stated. I've looked after him twice when he's had gastroentiritus (spelt wrong no doubt) when things were coming out of both ends, I love him.

I do worry about having to look after an elderly person I must admit. I can't help the way I feel about this stuff and it would make this kind of situation very awkward.

I'm trying to educate the OH about this, mind you, I did threaten to bin all the bleach bottles in the house if he carried on using it without cleaning first. I hate the smell of bleach...

  • Toilet brushes are only bad when people don't keep them clean and sanitised. And unfortunately a lot of people don't.

Mine get soaked in a solution of boiling water and bleach every week and then sit in a mild solution of bleach the rest of the time.

Yep, also replace mine from the 99p shop about 4 times a year! I wouldn't ever spend a lot of money on one as I don't want to keep it that long.
