I'm talking on behalf of the average consumer.
I am very capable myself of flashing any ROM on any phone. I'm just saying for most people they may want to avoid the hassle and just buy from etotalk.
Also those reviews are not like for like comparison. DX deal in much more than just phones.
Besides i'm not buying the Lenovo myself. Currently waiting for Xiaomi Mi3 to launch or for Mediateks new 8 core solutions.
Seems like a few had hassle anyway. Buyer beware.
As long as the risks are made clear, there is no problem with trying to save money.
Bit confused about this Domain listing......perhaps a mistake.Important Dates More InfoExpires On Nov 29, 2020

It's what piqued my interest in the first place.0 -
No google apps is probably a fake fone using the free version of the android software.
The hardware is probably reporting as being super duper but in reality it wont be. Faked specs.
You can get a 64GB SD card for £5. in reality its probably only 4GB with software compression to fit mp3's and photo's on it shrinks and reduces the quality. But try fitting a larger zip file or similar and it just wont work.
Then the non existant warranty. Youtube has loads of clips on fake phones.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I'd recommend etotalk over dealextreme.
Deal Extreme sell the phone as stock so it comes with Chinese Apps and NO google play. So unless you want to flash a ROM yourself it's better to pay the bit extra and get the MOD ROM from etotalk + better support.
Rooting and flashing can be risky and people have been known to brick the phone.
'Etotalk Mod ROM' service was only $5. The phone was unlocked, rooted, an international ROM flashed and they install multi-language OS, Google Play Store, etc. All non-useful Chinese apps were deleted.
I have been using the phone over a month and is running smoothly.0 -

If I had chosen to cut some corners it would have been cheaper still.
So as with all your other posts, you are wrong again!
What is your problem? Do you have an axe to grind?0 -
So your £99 includes both VAT and import duty?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

No! My total cost was around £99

Haven't been wrong so far. Just pointing out some of the caveats, so that people know the risks beforehand.
That is the raison d'etre of the website.
People should do their research before jumping. Checking out customer service, return policy, warranty conditions, bugs and work-arounds in the software. The fact is that many will end up Flashing ROMs anyway.
It is certainly not the path that everyone can traverse.
So, if you are going to recommend something so unreservedly, don't be disappointed when someone points out some of the 'cons'.0 -

Reposted with correct link. I was looking at the A830 at the time, so accidentally included the wrong link.
Wrong? I don't think so.
Besides, DealExtream use HK Airmail for shipping. It can easily take 30 days after the order is placed.
eTotalk sent my phone with DHL and I got in 4 days. And it was ready to use out of the box.NiftyDigits wrote: »As to slander.....it would be libel. Why don't you try suing me?

So your £99 includes both VAT and import duty?
Mobile Network Comparision bought it from another supplier and based on their review they paid around £100
