look up the wedding on super scrimpers it was unconventional and made you look at weddings differently!

Its honestly not how much you spend but what you want!

I work in hospice and believe you me we have had few weddigns and its the love in the room from the people there not the venue, the cos,t or the nonsense that goes with weddings that matters, when you look back none of other peoples opionions will matter, you cant please everyone so do whats right for YOU BOTH xxx

What do people think about including a gift list in the evening invites?

Personally I'd be miffed if I was sent a list , especially if its just for an evening do

By all means have a list , but only give it out to people who ask

We are not giving out a list at all but we have had a think about it and told our mums a couple of things that would be nice to have are we are honeymooing in Italy afterwards so maybe suggest Euros just incase anybody asks them. We are not expecting anything as our day is not going to be all fancy and posh. It is in a couple of open barns on an old farm, we are making homemade wine and buying in a couple of kegs of Local beer and we have asked people to bring their own booze! It would be rather rude to have a wedding list in our situation!
  • I wouldn't be offended if I was asked to provide a dish for the buffet, and would practise before hand to ensure that it was perfect
If the venue allowed you're guests to bring their own drinks.

My parents held a retirement party in a Church Hall, for a nominal fee, and everyone who came, brought a dish as pre-arranged. It was a great night.
