    Just passing through

    Welcome Cookie

Hugs Clarebear - to be honest if I don't know the answer I usually don't post anything in the hope someone more knowledgeable comes along

    Hugs ttc39

Sorry if I have missed anything significant
  • Quick question - If I had pale pink discharge on Friday with a couple of "wipes" of bright red but then nothing for another 24hours then on Saturday, AF arrived properly... Am I counting Saturday as CD1? Because I have done... then worried I was wrong and it should be Fri :o

And if I AM CD3 today...with a 26-27ish day cycle, When do you ladies reckon I should start using my precious CBFM?? :o
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

CD1 is the first day of proper AF bleeding so Saturday is CD1.

Don't know about the CBFM but hopefully someone else will.

Hi all - now back from The Grove in Bournemouth, what an amazing hotel.

You really should spread the word about it - they do amazing things!

Made a bit of a boo boo with my last post - I'm not CD5 or 6 - I was 5 or 6 DPO, now 7DPO - so sorry, would you be kind enough to change me on the lists.

Did you "activate" the cbfm on Saturday? (Press the m button?). If so the cbfm will tell you when it wants you to pee on a stick for it! Usually day 9 or 10.

    Thanks Code - currently CD23 and 7DPO.

Hopefully back on track tomorrow but not got a very high hope for this month as FF hasn't even detected OV despite CBFM showing 2 peak days and lots of EWCM.

  • Hugs for CD1 and CD2 ttc39 and good vibes and to everybody else that needs them.

I'm feeling a bit off colour today - generally worn out and nauseous, but I'm taking this as a good sign that it means there are hormonal changes afoot and that I will be ovulating tomorrow. I've also had alot more discharge (sorry if TMI) the last couple of days, so I'm seeing this as a positive too. I keep getting twinges in my abdomen, so I'm hopeful everything is doing what it should be.

Depite the heavy rain I still walked my last train stop to/from work, was like a drowned rat when I got home from work - good excuse to strip off and BD with OH as soon as I got in. Unfortunately his little swimmers are stupid, they keep swimming the wrong way! Even if I lie still for ages after BD they still keep making a bid for freedom. Hopefully it's just the stupid ones doing that and the clever ones have gone off the right way in search of an egg.

Not been as good on the healthy eating front today. Was really hungry this morning at work (no doubt due to the huge portion of raost dinner I had last night stretching my stomach) so ended up eating 2 packets of crisps followed by 2 chocolate bars. I've had another chocolate bar tonight, I'll never lower my BMI at this rate.

I was reading some of the posts about being reluctant to change jobs due to current work having a good maternity policy. I'm in the same boat, my work has an enhanced policy which would mean we wouldn't be earning that much less bearing in mind we won't have commuting costs for me or childcare costs for DS1 so it makes sense to stay where I am. It's just a shame the boss is a b!tch. Most of my colleagues are very nice although there are a few more b!tches in the department that try to make everyone else feel miserable.
One thing to bear in mind is that you only qualify for maternity pay if you have worked there for (I think) at least 26 weeks up to the 15th week before the baby's due date. Thinking about that though, the 15th week before baby is due is 25 weeks, so as long as you've worked there at least a week before getting pregnant you should be OK. But as you're 2 weeks pregnant as soon as you conceive, it would probably mean not trying for 1 cycle just in case.

Is everybody abstaining from alcohol from CD7 onwards? I have to confess I'm not. If I get a BFP in 2 or 3 weeks time I will be, but I don't know whether it makes any difference to fertility? I'm not a big drinker but I do have a couple of glasses of a weekend. I don't smoke so at least that's one thing I won't have to give up.
