AFM, I have been doing the odd opk, not every day though, mostly because I didn't want to obsess- plus also so I can just get the jist of how they work for when I do use them properly (they are just internet cheapies), anyway I did one Christmas eve and I would say the 2nd line was about 80% as dark as the first line- I did one today and I reckon they are the same colour!! :j Hoping this means I will ov very soon!!

hugs to all who need them, daisy you are quite right nothings over till its over. Bigmomma you sound like I think we all feel at times that everything is against us, this time last year things looked so black for me and my dhin every way but it has started to come better through our own bloody mindedness and faith in ourselves ( I like to think that anyway) I really hope 2014 brings us all the babies we so wish for

Im confused now!! (this is why Im not taking the opk too seriously at the moment as they just confuse me which will then start to make me obsess!!), but I just checked tonights opk which I thought was a + but it seems to have lightened up a tiny bit!! Think I will just carrying on bd'ing as and when we feel like it!!

Sounds like OPKs can really confuse things and make things less certain! I'm glad I haven't got into using them just yet. I think you are right, best thing seems to be to just keep b'd'ing often and then you should catch Ov whenever it is. Obviously I've just started so this could be quite naive of me as I know for many it's not that simple.

I am going for a similar approach- I just do the opk when Im bored (which is probably a waste of opks!!), but thing is I did have a very long cycle last time of 100 days so by doing an opk and the fact it appears Im quite close to ov does help me a little bit not to obsess- but it still means we are bd'ing for fun rather than feeling under pressure!! (this probably doesn't make any sense but it makes sense to me!!:rotfl:)
