  • this is definitely not a glamorous part of pregnancy but is anybody suffering with wind? for me it's not trumping but burping! especially at night, I get in bed and start burping constantly for a good 10 minutes, especially if I turn over it starts again! it's not usually too bad then it settles down but for the last couple of nights iv been burping so much it's started making me feel sick and I can't sleep :(

    urgh attractive!
  • Well they are a man so Im guessing they're lazy ;)

I wish my darling 8 year old could do lazy occasionally - he never stops moving, just one constant bundle of energy!

My mother says he has only two modes - "overdrive" and "off".
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Just added myself to the list. I have had some cramping the last couple of days and a sore back. It's making me a bit worried. But I guess just stretching at this stage?

Ouch, these cramps, aches and stretching feelings are getting more painful. They woke me up at 6am. I hope everything is okay in there.

They can be pretty painful Lara, mine were. They go in stages though so won't be all the way through your pregnancy - mainly just around growth spurts, when you could find yourself also more tired and more hungry. Little one is more likely to have a quiet day (once you can feel movements) around them, from the effort of growing, too. Try not to worry too much :)

Getting a bump band or two can help during these growth spurts, to help support your stretching aching ligaments.

Lara, I've also been having quite strong period-type cramps for the last couple of days which has been worrying me a lot (I'm 18wks today). I spoke to the midwife about it and she said it was fine and not to worry (as if!) unless there was bleeding as well. Hope yours sorts itself out soon x

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. Glad your midwife said not to worry Becsxxx (definitely much easier said than done!). I went for a nice long walk which seems to have helped a bit. Maybe I need to add a bit of exercise into the mix.

Lara I had pains after my 12 week scan and then again at various points. When I had bleeding I had no pains! I think it's growing/stretching.

Lara the last couple of days I've been getting really uncomfortable stretching and aching. It kind of feels like hunger pains mixed with slight cramp, mixed with having done too many sit ups aching.

It's definitely not pleasant and is really wearing me out, and making my lower back hurt where I'm kind of stooping over to compensate for the aches, but my friend and her sister both had similar quite painful stretching pain so I'm sure it is all ok :) just really uncomfortable!!

Hope they start to subside for you soon and you becsxxx x

Oops forgot to say 17 weeks + 5 days today :)
