I have just bought one as they were on offer in Tesco. Im really disappointed.
I had one years ago and seem to remember loving it but this new one!!!!
Ive used it 3 times, its really hard to clean after use.
The first time I did lamb chops and they were ok but the plates were really difficult to get clean, the 2nt time I did gammon and again struggled cleaning it.
Last night I cooked pork chops and sausages. The chops were fine but the sausages were burnt outside before they were cooked through inside.
Is it just me????

Yes, some-things have different cooking times, they are good, but not that good.
However, once you get the hang of them and your eyes focus on all that fat you were about to eat, well....:eek:Be happy...;)0 -
I've never had much luck with mine either, probably used it only 3 times too, and each time to cook chicken breasts, which i managed to burn the outside before the inner cooked properly. Then having to clean and scrub away the burnt bits ..... I found it was just easier to go back to my old way of baking tray and foil was easier!
but I should really give it a go again and try cooking something else I suppose!0 -
I find mine easier to clean while it is still hot.
or at least wipe the excess off with kitchen paper while its hot.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I used ours once for bacon. It cooked it great, but the 3 hours trying to clean the d*mn thing put me off ever using it again.0

Oh dear, Not just me then:o0

We love ours and use it at least a couple of times a week. Ours has removable plates which go in the dishwasher. OH even made a cheese toastie in it the other day, which was nice but a little squashed!0

One of the many gadgets I own that were used twice and put back in the cupboard never to see the light of day again! Too much of a faff to clean. Now if I need to grill something, I use a cheap grill pan from Ikea on the hob.0

Hating cleaning it & didn't like the smell.0

I know there's one somewhere around, probably at the back of a cupboard and covered with dust.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

We just use ours for toasted sandwiches.
Too much of a faff to clean and not good enough to fork out on a new one with removable plates.
