Parkingeye county court claim

  • Calling that number on Patient Opinion only leads you to a woman who says this is all your fault and that the hospital can't and won't get PE to withdraw charges. She said the best we could hope for was only having to pay court costs and this was only after arguing with her about whether she could contact PE or not.

    Call PALS.

it seems my second mistake seems to have been reading all the advice given on this forum!!

Since last year, this has been clearly visible at the top of the parking forum:

    screenshot_212.jpg

You can even see it is dated 3/10/12

If you chose to ignore that and read old threads that told you what you wanted to hear then THAT was your mistake.

Important notices / information are put in easily visible places. If you ignore it then thats your issue.

    Oh give over.
The advice to ignore charges was still being given in about February/March when I looked here about my pcn and changed about then to the appeals route.
The advice you highlight is no more than references to PofA changes, not about to ignore or not.
Some people on here are such pompous and self righteous tw@ts.
Thankfully the more informative regulars make for more helpful and interesting reading.
Just leave it now and let the OP get on with their fight with PE.

Yes there were people giving out this advice who for months argued it would make no difference at all. I had previously argued that it would and was poo-hoo'd for it. Guess what happened? - It made a difference. PPCs now do court.

Even so, I'd rather look at a genuine announcement than take the words of a a few annonymous individuals on an internet forum. That announcement was posted to give people advice. Anyone who ignored it did so at their peril and many are now finding out that last year when I said the PoFA would change things, I was right. The government and BPA are in bed and people still couldn't accept it.

Thing is the ignore advice still works, the reason is because despite everything they can only take a limited amount of people to the small claims. So Tricky what you are saying is right in a very limited fashion!

People need to make their own decisions, they must be made aware of all options including paying, ignoring and appealing, and the pitfalls of each one.0
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

PPC do do court and two lost last week and parking eye stopped turning up weeks ago.
All methods have a percentage of success and out of a million tickets a year if we start going in to actual figures, I would agree with stroma, Ignoring has produced the greatest result out of all numbers wise.
If you are unlucky and they try court, they may even win and you might have to pay a few extra quid if they do win, whats a few extra quid when someone is scamming you,at least you know they made a loss on the court case.
Parking eyes agencies solicitor's charge more than 4 times what they can claim alone.
Also the POPLA can have success as can lambasting the gits that employed them to scam their customers.

What we do need to be aware of, is they are paying people a wage to sit and troll forums claiming they followed advice and now look what happened, so we need to use that against them.

Having warmed some months ago to the fact that Parking Eye are getting their bottoms handed to them at POPLA and it is costing them money, lots of money and this making me happy, I am glad to sit well back and let parking Eye get a botty spanking at POPLA.

Every time they post this drivel about look what a fine mess you got me in to, hit back and publicize how many times they have been spanked at POPLA and how to do it.
They will soon begger off again.

The advice people get on here is FREE, it was not us who parked our car and could not be bothered to read a simple sign, if the advice you get goes wrong, tough, if you want surety, pick up the yellow pages and call a solicitor, they start around £350 per hour or part off.
    Be happy...;)

So then do a simple google search and find this http://www.chsft.nhs.uk/aboutchs/trustboards/bod/
Then call/email them all and at the same time post on patient opinions and initiate freedom of information requests for evidence of PE's ability to pursue through the courts. It's what I'm doing with Northumbria and have today started with Sunderland.

The easiest way to have any of these charges dropped is through the retailer/hotel/hospital etc.

So in your paranoid world, everyone that is now claiming to be getting court papers is a spammer from PE trying to discredit advice that has evolved along with POLPA and its interpretations? What possible benefit could that achieve?

Has it not occurred to you that the recent influx of similar threads is because of the sudden increase of court cases being lodged? I can only think of maybe two where the opening post sounded a bit resentful and most appreciate the help offered.

There can't be anything that isn't already on here somewhere that a ppc can only find out by pretending to get a court letter!
  • I called Sunderland PALS, and sent off emails to every higher up I could find information on. The complaint department got back to me right away and are looking into it. I've submitted reviews but only one has gone up.

I also lodged a complaint against the woman at Sunderland who handles this since she kept arguing with me that this is our fault and she can't do anything with it being at the courts now. And lodged a complaint that the meters should take cards and cash since there's no way to get change at night.

If I have to, I'll sit out by the street with a protest sign!

So even though the number on Patient Opinions sends you to a woman who doesn't care, contact everyone else there that you can! At the very least they might get PE to drop the charges to get us to shut up.
