  • On reflection of the horrors of this thread I am so glad that the only perk at work is the free tea, coffee and milk so no theft and scandals!

Someone refilled the sugar bowl with salt in error today and the email wasn't pleasant as it was used to make tea for the big bosses.

Also "As from Monday only plastic cutlery will be provided. We as a business are not here to furnish peoples kitchens"

I had a couple sat in front of me on the bus, lad had really bad acne, girlfriend was popping spots on his face and he was mopping up the blood and pus with a tissue.

I had to move, it really was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen

I take my own crockery/cutlery to work and keep it in my locker. I once walked into the kitchen and saw a colleague lick the crockery and cutlery 'clean' and put it back int he cupboard. I now cannot even consider eating off the communal stuff.

I am absolutely horrified, why would anyone smear poo on toilet walls?!!?

I've seen this a few times in public toilets, and always assumed it was because someone was caught short when the paper ran out and had to resort to 'manual' methods. Having read this thread I am not so sure. I didn't realise it was so common. Yeurgh.

I work in security, and part of my job is building checks during the night. I can verify that women's toilets are often left in a far worse condition than men's. I haven't ever had to deal with anything nasty, but sometimes I think that the ladies' loos are full of people trying to make their own confetti. Ladies, why all the shredded paper?

Ugh as funny as that is it gave me cold sweats as it reminds me of my old housemates. The house was fairly small and we'd see each other constantly through the day. They used our dishwasher, which was fine, we would always load their things up, but they would ONLY load theirs and refuse to put ours in.

Then we'd gets notes on the chalkboard, "YOU NEED TO BUY DISWASHER TABLETS - IT'S YOUR TURN."

So we'd nip to Costcutters to buy some to quench the beast, and then an hour or two later the note would turn to, "THESE DISHWASHER TABLETS ARE TOO CHEAP - WE ALWAYS BUY TOP RANGE TABLETS AND YOU BUY CHEAP ONES - THAT IS NOT FAIR."

So I wrote back, "I'M SURE THE PRICE DIFFERENCE MAKES UP FOR THE FACT IT'S OUR DISHWASHER YOU'RE USING - IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM TALK TO US RATHER THAN WRITING PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE NOTES." Well, it all went quiet after that and we never had to buy a single tablet again. :T Some people are utter cowards.
