Thank you RichardW. There wasn't any infants travelling with us, all adults. I wasn't sure if I needed to raise it as a complaint or not, I'll try replying to the e-mail and see what they reply.

    Many thanks

you don't need to post in on that thread, you just need to read the FAQs and posts on the thread and you will see that your question has been asked and answered multiple times.
Even just searching "vouchers" on the Thomas Cook thread will bring back 225 results

My flight delay was in October last year, it was with Monarch and it was settled, in full, out of court.
I feel i've done quite a lot in helping compile the various links in the FAQ's, and the list of agreed flights in the Monarch thread.
But the posts by Rldav, stating that they haven't found their answers, (after having been on *all evening*, although the posts are only one hour apart) has led me to conclude that I can't help anyone any more now.
The vouchers offer is not only answered over 250 times in the Thomas Cook thread, but it's clear in the FAQ's link to the EU261 regulation, that vouchers do not have to be accepted, and I've also had that answer as my signature for a long time now, with a post by me on most threads, every few pages.
So for a newbie to not find that answer after having been on all evening, leads me to conclude that this forum has a fundamental flaw, one that will lead to the same questions that have been answered over a thousand times before, reappearing every few days.

I sent a reply e-mail to Thomas Cook last night asking for clarity on how they came to the conclusion I wasn't entitled to the full compensation even though the claim qualified twice over in that it was over 4000km and over 7 hours delay, I also asked for cash instead of vouchers - I've just spoken to them and they are doing a bacs payment straight in to my bank and are giving me the full compo I'm entitled to and with not too much trouble in getting it.

RESULT OR WHAT? I FEEL LIKE KISSING MARTIN LEWIS:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

MSE Martin didn't help you in his thread!
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.

Not in his thread no but if he hadn't done a piece about flight delay compensation I wouldn't have even known I was eligible.

I had already thanked you previously too.

Alas you are correct, there needs to be a regular forum user with admin privilage to clear the clutter and make a few more stickies.
