Flight delay compensation offer of vouchers

Options
Hi
Can anyone advise? I put in a claim to Thomas Cooke as my family and I (6 Persons) took a package holiday to Florida. The return flight was delayed by 9 hours, (they had to fly a plane over from England to collect us). Thomas Cooke have today offered me £2056 in vouchers. Could anyone tell me 1,Why they didn't offer me the full £504 for a delay of over 7 hours, 2, If I can ask for cash/cheque rather than vouchers, 3, If I can ask for a full claim and cash/cheque, how do I do this?

Many thanks

Sorry, I joined this forum because I thought I would get help in obtaining the compensation I was fully entitled to - NOT unhelpful replies from obviously jealous members who have nothing better to do than waste my time.

If anyone has any constructive help and advise, I would be very grateful

Put vouchers in search, and note it's Cook not Cooke.
