Really!!!!The_White_Horse wrote: »the righties are saying there is no money to fund obamacare - the lefties won't budge.
in fact, contrary to belief, i am a fan of the nhs and think the us would benefit from obamacare.
what i don't like is the waste in the public sector, the refusal for anyone to accept blame for anything, the entitlement attitude, and benefit scroungers living a lifestyle as good as, if not better than lots of people who work.
i don't see what is wrong with that?0 -
Since healthcare in America is effectively administered by banks, it is more profitable for hospitals and doctors not to treat people properly so that they can claim neglegence and have the treatment done again.
Because this boosts GDP and adds to bank profits.0 -

News: the entire world is in collapse, eveyone has lost their jobs, food is up, property is flatlining
the lefty: oh no, this isn't good, we must pay public sector more and give the benefit scroungers more. Poor poor benefit scroungers...

Maybe the OP might like to view it. I was particularly taken with the analysis of the President's ability to negotiate with Iran, but not American Republicans...
Enjoy!

my definition of lefty is anyone who likes massive benefits and welfare along with the employment of thousands of uneccessary people by the govt. i do like that "non-essential" staff have been told not to come in. a clue in the name perhaps?? non-essential.
I don't care about capitalism or socialism. i care about unfairness and the leftys constant ability to make excuses for the criminal, the layabout, the general scum. it is never anyones fault - always someone elses fault (but when you ask who, the answer is ALWAYS maggie thatcher).
my issue with the child benefit was not that I was losing it but the utterly ridiculous set up of the scheme. why pay people to have umpteen children they can't afford? why not limit it to two kids or even one. If you choose to have more, that is fine. Why not limit it to secondary school age - when parents could go out to work. Why not limit it based on household income rather than individual income? it was the worst of all worlds. It is the inherant unfairness that I don't like.
I am a champion of social justice - where the ill and old are looked after and the scroungers are left to starve. fools who have umpteen kids they can't afford, can't home, should be left to their own devices.
taxes should be to run the country ie light the streets, provide defence. a bit should go to looking after the ill and infirm.
the current welfare bill is crazy.0 -

TWH you seem unduly agitated. Have you forgotten the pills?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
