Firemanbill your advice is wrong and will confuse newbies.

What part of us winning 100% of the time at POPLA on ALL cases helped in the last six months, do you have a problem with? Especially as each appeal costs a PPC well over £30 and the BPA Ltd even more!

Methinks you should have read my post closer.

You posted a decision from 2012 when POPLA just started and Shona hadn't got the hang of 'pre-estimate of loss'. She has now and so have the other assessors.

We haven't lost ANY where we have advised since Easter. My post did say that...

And why take any risk on this going to court (50:50 chance of success:loss), with the potential of (FB's contention) a £200 loss, when a win at POPLA (100% success rate here) can be virtually guaranteed, ergo cost to motorist - £zilch, £zero, £nada, £SFA.

And ......... the work of developing a winning POPLA appeal is far less onerous for a totally inexperienced (and inevitably worried) individual than developing a solid defence for court appearance.

    How's Pontypandy tonight FiremanSam? :)

It's Bill actually, as in William, as in Firemanbill. i.e. not Firemansam which would be like, well I guess Samantha Cameron or Sammy Davies Junior. Check my photo, white bearded caucasian male. Born circa 1930. Doh!

It was bad enought being accused of being a scouser. But a taff? What next, a Geordie?

With the greatest of respect I just followed your link and cut and pasted the first case on it. You're not advertising your argument very well if you don't mind me saying so...

It's getting light here in India by the way so I might need to go to bed soon.

Kindly explain. 6 months - December 2012. Where does that fit with our discourse?

I said that we help people win '100% of the time at POPLA on ALL cases helped in the last six months'.

You then said 'no you don't - here's a case from 2012' (10 months ago...)!

    You did say that.

I didn't say that. All I did was follow your own link and cut and paste the first full text from the judgements on that page.

I say this only in the interests of accuracy - you understand? If Shona has been retrained and you don't want that judgement at the top of the list you should do something to improve your PR.

    Just a thought.

But I gave the link to show you the cases won in the last six months. Anyone reading that would SURELY then start at the end of the long sticky thread and work backwards if they wanted to check what I was saying.

Believe us, we win 100% of the time now. Someone I tried to help lost once, at the start, which I advised on in February when we were still learning how POPLA worked and what arguments would work. That person paid £100 (didn't have to pay having lost at POPLA, but she did - the case is there on the decisions thread too; we don't hide them). And it still cost the PPC £27 plus VAT and the BPA costs in handling it.

OK, I might yet be pursuaded. But it's not realisatic to assume everyone will start at the end of a thread to understand what's going on and then work backwards. I didn't for one.

But I will go back and have another look.

    There.

Everything in Welsh Liverpudlian fire management is under control, for those who might have been concerned. Even if the control centre is here in Delhi.
