  • Don't "fight", just ignore. Any other advice (I have this on extremely good authority) is coming from the scammers' representatives. Go back to ground zero and follow the original advice posted here. The civil law of the nation hasn't changed in the meantime. If we all ignored, this bol****s would end overnight.

    NO NO NO

    Do not ignore ,

If you do this and dont kill it of then you could you end with a county court claim anytime up to 6 years after the event in England/wales

Why risk it. a popla win will do that and we will help you

And will be here to help defend this if it goes to the small claims? Its easy enough to say ignore, put your money where your mouth is! And UKCPS issued 515 claims in the 8 months to June that pofa 2012 has existed. Probably a lot more since then!

ok. Wait for the NTK as they can screw that up. Just read the latest successes on the POPLA Decisions sticky for reassurance.

In the meantime also contact the retail park and COMPLAIN about genuine customers like yourself and the driver being harassed by their parking agent in this way, and tell them how much this experience has discouraged you (and your family and friends) from shopping there

Have a read of this thread by Coupon-mad about posters who have complained to retail parks, retailers etc, and got their charge cancelled

    Who are you representing? Honestly?

POOPLA is a sham set up to sculpt credence for a scam. If they don't have the balls to try it on after 6 months who are you trying to kid with this 6 year nonsense. You work for them. Your IP address says so. By the way, your grammar is suspect.

I am presuming that you wrote the above in somewhat of a hurry. Are you working for them too?

It's a freedom of information request, go and ask the courts if they responded as such!

    Utter village idiot

If you realised just how wrong you are, you would be ashamed.

There are a number of regular contributors on here who regularly help many, many people who genuinely have come across PPCs and need help. These two guys you are slagging off have helped countless people, along with a number of other regulars.

To even suggest that either is a PPC employee just shows your ignorance of what they and others have been doing over the months, with considerable success judging by the thanks and reports that have come in from MSE members.

Just look at the number of posts people like Stroma, KIL, Couponmad, zzzlazydaisy, Ukomaas, and countless others have accumulated.

Now, a straight question to you. Do you want to help people or ar you really just trolling? If the former, then read a few threads, see just what help these guys have provided and get on side. Replace your bile with experience and knowledge and, if your original thread develops, come back and share that experience with this forum to help others.

If you just want to rant, then that's ok, but there is a different forum for that.

So, have a think and see which way you want to go because, at the moment, you will see a closing of ranks with you on the outside.

    Er, like Stevie Gerrard's?

I can assure you that you have not dealt with anyone like me. Ever. You haven't even the faintest idea as to whom you are addressing. Let it go, because you'll never know. That way you will sleep easier at night. Now, where were we...?

With respect to the original poster, the best advice if you have any kind of defence is still to ignore. Then ignore, and then ignore some more. If they send you a "letter before action" you'll have the opportunity to provide your side of the argument. But be sure that you have read the Practice Directive so that you'll know what needs to be in their letter - if it doesn't comply write telling them why. It's unlikely they'll ever comply because they're scammers. Eventually they'll get bored and go away. Remember it's only the parking company that can take you to court - never the debt collector.

People have criticised my approach, but if only more of us had the backbone to fight back, this issue would evaporate as the morning dew. It looks as though it has worked for me.

    In any event, good luck!
