Thank you for your opinion. I think it may be the machine you are viewing it on - it is perfectly viewable. It comes out nothing like your picture.

It comes out practically unreadable on my screen as well, it's an important message to get across, maybe edit the background a little.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

I've taken the time to read it, and it is an important message, but PLEASE change the background colour. The bottom half of the story is almost impossible to read.
Have one colour across the whole text, not a vertical split, and then make sure the text colour is a strong contrast to the background colour.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

or maybe just highlight the words that takes a second!.

jeez someone tells you a blog and you all pick holes in the font color.

you and other poster are the type of people to go to a funeral and complain about the wake having not enough fresh bread sandwiches.

how about stop being lazy and using excuses not to read it instead highlight the words you cant see. maybe the OP has bigger problems in her everyday other than trying to correct a font on a webpage.

What planet are you on? I didn't pick any holes in it, merely agreed with others that the background makes it a little difficult to read, the important thing is that people read it and people are less likely to bother if the contrast between the font and the background means it requires effort.

highlight the words you cant see. simple. don't want to make the effort then its up you.

you agreed with other poster who ripped a hole in the OP.

You are missing the point, if it is difficult to read people are not going to bother with it, not talking you or me specifically, talking people in general, it's called presentation, Also, why quote me in the first place, I was not the only one to comment, plus, others also aired their views on drink drivers as well, I didn't, I kept my opinions on that to myself, like I said why quote me specifically?

This blog post was written by my niece on the first anniversary of my daughters car accident. She was probably drink driving and was wearing no seatbelt. It shows some of the impact this action has on family and friends. Feel free to share it - we want the message to be passed on.

    Thank you.

Please edit your link in post #1 from:

    to:

    http://beccaboofun.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/helens-story.html?m=0

simply change the last 1 to a 0 so that Helen's Story displays correctly.

Same amount of time it takes for the person who put the page online to adjust the font colour or background eh?

If they can't be bothered why should the viewers? - THAT is the whole point.

    just highlight it.

perhaps the person who put the blog up doesn't have the time to adjust it, it was obvious it was rushed, they wanted their story uip and then just let it be, because they have no time to make the adjustments, perhaps the person who did the blog spends more time looking after her daughter and travelling to see her daughter than to worry about fonts and people OCD about spelling and font sizes and color?
