Have had a visitor for a week who leaves tomorrow so little done except dailies like bins, bathroom and kitchen, then on Tuesday/Wednesday it's back to normal, out for the day on Thurs and in on Friday. Going to have to get a lot done in a short time!
  • Hi, can I come join u all. I lurked a bit last week and had a go at following the lists and surprised myself how much I got done. So I'm going to try and keep up with it as I felt like housework was taking over at weekends. I work full time, and am single mum to 2 dd's age 10 & 8. I've done a bit of flying years ago when I worked part time but not been on here for a good few years. Dp doesn't live with me and commented this weekend the house was tidy and thought I'd done it all Friday night/sat morning before he came round, so good to tell him I didn't :D

Thanks Natty, I'm in this week :D

I'm going to roll over the jobs I didn't do last week otherwise they'll never get done as it seems its always the same jobs being left. :o

I'm going to set myself a deep cleaning challenge for this week in the livingroom. I'm going to make a list and aim to get it all done by next Sunday on top of the normal flying. Mainly its washing down paintwork, and pulling out the freezer to clean behind. A job I have been putting off for a very long time. But it needs to be done. I'll be posting that list tomorrow when I've got it sorted out.

    Personal:
    Shredding
    Writing x 9 pieces
    Toots list
    Scanning (old documents from pre-2006)
    Ironing
    Colour hair
WM: trainers, door curtains, towels, bedding x2
Nag DD to get all her homework done.
    Weed yard.
Call oven repair peeps / get oven fixed
    Call landlady.

Reporting in for this week. Thanks for the new list Natty.

Wedding is on Wednesday! DH bought his suit today. He's only father of the bride! He will buy his shirt tomorrow in London. Tie is being provided by the bride as she wants him to match the bridesmaid dresses.

I feel calm and unstressed today but I'm sure this will change to manic and hysterical by Wednesday morning. The house is reasonably tidy. A quick S/S will see most areas presentable for the influx of relatives on Wednesday.

New worries are that along with leaving his suit buying to the last minute DH has not written the 'father of the bride speach'. I must not interfere!
dS2 has told me school will not let him leave early. I must have forgotten something vital or I wouldn't feel this calm!

    Good evening all

Thank you Natty for this week's list and Dusty for last week's.
Count me in again: I will try to do the relevant bits from the official list but also have plenty of my own extras to add - mostly painting, especially tomorrow as we have *no* tradesmen calling until Tuesday :D

DH and I have had a very enjoyable weekend break. It finished with a visit to DS2 and his family this afternoon and cuddles with DGS3, and we have returned home feeling much refreshed and in agreement  about what we want to do with the bedrooms :):)

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all who need them.
  • Thanks for the lists xx

    Ok here goes this week:

This week we are having a Deep Cleaning challenge.. dislodge those spiders.. chase out those bugs and degrot the grotty spaces. This is time-consuming.. so if you can't manage it, it doesn't matter.. but flying just keeps things ticking over and sometimes a better scrubbing is needed..let's see how this goes!
