Mailing Supplies/Notepads/Diaries, etc-Prices from 7p @ PcWorld-Collect at Store

There was a massive pile of these claim forms in PC World in Oxford today - I got a handful.
Also most of the online stationery discount prices are the same on shelf (unlike much of the PCW reserve and collect stuff) so when I got there I bought loads of other stuff too.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
so what products do i exactly look for if was looking to do the apprentice offer? tape and dispenser? and wat post it notes?

Went to PC world today. No "fragile" tape but some contents security checked seal tape.
Saw an empty shelf with a shelf edge label for the label printer. Just goes to show that they are out there, if difficult to find.
IMO the PC line notebooks are very good buys. They have dividers and have a fabric cover with 150 pages of paper. All for under £1. Very useful for note taking in college/university etc.
Put a heavy pack of wrapping plastic back on the shelf whilst I looked around, was very cheap. Loads were there and I reasoned no-one would buy them all. How wrong was I?! Someone brought 2 or 3 trolleys over and almost cleared out the store. Also somewhat antisocial IMO, ripping wide open the envelope boxes and pulling envelopes out to look at them. !!!!!! it says on the box what they are. No doubt they simply want to sell it all on. Presume Ebay will be full of stationery, selotape and packing materials for the next year or two.
I *really* hate people who buy up bargains and sell stuff on for a living. It deprives genuine buyers and leads to illegal tax evasion. Why can't they get a proper job? Note: this is a comment, and is my point of view and is not an invitation for all you people who buy bargains to sell on ebay to reply saying how good it is and start arguing. Leave the thread to PC world stationeryIf you think it's all good and great you get on with it and do your stuff.

Does the Dispenser pack with 2 extra rolls at £1.27 each count or not?

Next time if you don't want a response to an opinion ....don't give it
It's up for sale.....From a shop..... people can buy what they want .If they see an opportunity that others can't then all good to them.
PCworld ,Tesco's or Asda all buy at bargain prices ...in bulk ,and sell on at a profit ..I don't see any diference except in scale...0 -
The leaflet/form details the barcodes of the products which have to match those on the product. Apparently over on HUKD there's been some discussion about whether the the tape in these multipacks with the free dispenser will actually be valid for the promotion due to having a different barcode.
Ok everyone, I think I have figured it out:
- The £5 back on the triple tape packs at PC world should/will be honoured (even if the barcode is different).
- The PC world promotion was put together by an idiot.
Explanation:
The promotion is by 3M and applies to many stores not just PC World: http://www5.3m.com/intl/uk/apprenticeuk/
On the 3M website there are many different post-it/scotch products under the offer.
One of the offers is £5 back when you buy SIX single roles of tape barcode ending 002677.
PC World has got their own spin to this offer (probably an arrangement with 3M) which includes some extra products:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/the-apprentice-free-gift-cards?int=3m_18_gift
As PC world do a triple pack of the same tape (with free dispenser) and don't have the singles, they are offering the same £5 back when you buy two of these (as overall you are still buying six tapes with two free dispensers).
Somebody at PC World has made a mistake when they were rewriting the offer under their own scheme. For the triple pack they have put on the form you need barcode ending 002677. This is the barcode of the single tape packs in the orignal 3M promotion!
Therefore you cannot buy triple packs with barcode ending 002677 - you never could! I actually have these single packs ending in 002677 from elsewhere so can confirm that it is a mistake on the PC World claimform and the 3M claimform has the correct product for this barcode. The single packs are exactly the same as the ones in the triple except they have a barcode on them - the ones in the multipack do not have a barcode.
Further proof that the PC World claimform was made by an idiot is that if you look at the barcodes for the yellow post-it packs, these are also wrong. They have put the same barcodes as the equivalent size multicolour packs (also in promotion).
So my guess is that 3M will realise that PC World made a mistake in the promotion and will honour the deal as long as you send the correct barcodes (six ending 002677 or two from triple packs).
Hope that makes some sense. It does in my head...
P.S. Someone plz copy this to HUKD they seemed confused over the same thing. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

Sorry newman, but you were in the store, had the chance to buy these items but didn't. You can't then complain that someone else bought them, even though you didn't want to.
This forum is called "Grab it while you can" for a good reason. This is not a socialist republic in which we are all equal and can only have one bargain each. It is not in human nature to say "look, what a fantastic bargain!! Why don't we leave them all for others who may be less fortunate than us, and who pay full income tax on their salaries".
For some people the £40-£50 they might make by buying some of these items and selling them on is the difference between their kids getting birthday presents or not. Some may well be buying them for other reasons - I have bought a load of the magic tape sets, some for family and the rest will go to my kids' primary and secondary schools as free supplies. And I will keep the £2+ profit on each pair of tape sets that I claim the £5 voucher on, because I'm a greedy ba****rd.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

When I was picking some stuff up at PCW yesterday, I was having a chat with the manager. He told be that a deputy manager from Stapes had been in and filled 3 trolleys of stuff to sell on.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Another point if you bought the Post It organisor it has the scotch tape inside with the 002677 code on it. I bought 3 organisors and 4 Tape dispensers. Therefore I need to send in the 3 barcodes from the organisors for 3 X £5.00 cards and 4 x Barcodes from the Scotch Tape dispensers ( which is not 002677!) for 2 x £5.00 cards. Should I send in my receipt aswell in case they say it is the wrong barcodes? I am confused!!0
