Also been to fill up car this morning £85.01  but got £5 morrisson miles voucher thou

Not much else to say, loads to sell just need motivation, called debt management this morning for advice and basically not much choice going forward suffer and grin and bear it for 5-6 years or ruin my chance of ever moving back closer to my family until debt is paid . Not updated signature but debt topping 30k at moment

    Hello hopless,

It will be okay. I know you probably don't feel that right now, but you could not be in a better place to tackle this. Once we realize we are in trouble with our debts, it really is an assault on your soul. You wouldn't try to handle someone physically attacking you without leaning on someone, even just for some emotional support in the aftermath. So it is with debt: Lean on the support here. It won't fail you.

One thing in this life that is certain is change. The position you are in today will not be the same position that you will be in next year, next month, next week, or even tomorrow. Whether it is more positive or negative is down to your choices. You can decide which way your life needs to go, you simply need to push with your choices. It won't be easy but it WILL be worth it and you will be very surprised what you can accomplish and how much extra money you can generate or shave off your cost of living.

Do not be afraid. We will walk with you! Find the silver lining in the small goal posts along the way. Finding the positive will do wonders for your outlook.

Big fat hug to you, my fellow DFW. X

oh hun. :( You can and will do it. Believe me there are plenty of diaries on MSE that prove it can and has been done.

the first step is always the hardest and there are days it will look bleak. Believe me! You can do it.

Just deleted a long and emotional post!

I have walked through a park, past bus stops and in a supermarket car park today with my eyes glued to the floor, not a glimmer of a penny or discarded receipt to be seen. . .

I have applied to a ms assignment and got turned down as couldn't even get the questions right beforehand!

I have listed a paltry 5 items at 99p on eBay when I have twice that at least to sell, I'll aim to put them on on Sunday.

I have a lack lustre one book listed, at 74p, on Webuybooks and am all out of stuff that wouldn't be rejected by Cash 4 Clothes.

I've not so tactfully reminded someone they owe me £50 :)

Inevitably it seems Qmee doesn't like me today.

    That's the bad news.

Good news is I'm going on another travel writing trip this week and I don't have to pay. So I shall shut up moaning.

Sometimes I think of these trips as like winning a comp without having to enter one, I appreciate how very lucky I am to call that work! Lunch in Rome on Weds followed by Naples and Barcelona with some very swish touches in between.

I'm going to a bank tomorrow to try and get to the bottom of whether there's anything at all in an old account I have found a cheque book for, not holding my breath.

Have a great weekend all, may all your roadkill finds be paper ones and all your car boots be packed xx

I found a massive 3p today! Whoot! Ha. My finances are looking cack to say the least at the moment. I've been good and am staying in this weekend (even though I really want to go out to my local!) and have sorted out my budget and meal plans for the week. It's so hard not to be tempted to buy snacks and tea at work and I've been lazy in not bringing stuff from home this week.

I know it's hard sometimes but try and think positive. You will clear it eventually and imagine how happy you will feel when that day comes! Keep going!

Reaching out to give you a hug MrsC! Sometimes it seems to be a better idea to go back to bed for the day.....I think you've had one of those! :) But it's okay because tomorrow will be better......and weekends are better for receipts and roadkill anyway! :D

The trip sounds great.....wish I got to travel with my job. That would be awesome! Hope you have a lovely time. X

Thanks HOK3Y - it's Roy and Hayley in Corrie got me a bit overwhelmed, I shouldn't have watched.

You have made me smile telling me to Have a lovely time, I know we can't promote our own sites etc, but I hope it's ok to mention that exact phrase is the name of mine!

    Take care xx
