Its safer to buy the FTSE instead of just one share. RMG is going in there as of December anyway so you will own a bit of everything.
The fair price depends on their profit and then the costs, we dont know yet. The estimate is that £4.15 is 10 years earnings so £4.55 is on its way to expensive but I think £5 is possible yes0 -

I`m not a great fan of trackers but having looked at this one it`s probably one of the best around especially the annual charges of .27%.
That`s £27 a year on £10k and it can be put into an ISA.

It can also be bought from HSBC direct.0 -
I bought some Royal Mail shares through the official government website. I offered £2k as soon as the offer was open, and when there was all the speculation I made another application for £5k.
Do the £750 shares come per person or per application? How do I find out how many shares I have acquired?
Many thanks0 -
The rules were one application per person. Unless your applications were aggregated into one you broke the rules. If so, perhaps you won't get any.0

I hold VUKE , a FTSE 100 ETF with a charge of 0.1% http://funds.ft.com/uk/Tearsheet/Summary?s=VUKE:LSE:GBP“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
Hi. Quick question. What ticker symbol do I use to buy shares in royal mail?0

Are there any FTSE-100 trackers that have an associated dividend? Trading in individual stocks carries the extra risk, but it also means that dividends can help mitigate that risk.
After a brief Googling, I've discovered that there's a term for index trackers that include a dividend ('Total Return Index'), but does anyone know any more than the almost nothing that I do, or has any experience of such index trackers?0
