Hi guys,
Just another quick question
My dad wants to pay using his business debit card, so his home address (that you type in on the website) and business address (on the bank account) won't match up
Will this be okay?
Edit: or could I just put the business address as home address? Would it matter? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

99-4=95, so 95% of RM workers (at a minimum assuming all 4% of approvers took up offer) are hypocrites prepared to set aside their socialist principles for a few quid in their back pockets.
I *love* statistics.
Lots of people disapprove of our power and water supplies being sold off to foreign corporations. Do you expect them to stop using power and water?“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
Silly question here but has anyone applied and then not received a confirmation email but had the money come up as being removed from their bank account? I'm just a bit worried that without the email I've not actually successfully applied. I did tick to receive a postal copy of a welcome pack (or something similarly worded) so perhaps that has something to do with it?
Thanks for any insights/reassurance!0 -
Thanks for the clarification.
I'm guessing I've missed out hence the '2 day warning' on their website.
Don't think I fancy using more cash to buy direct.
Could be your lucky day. I know of people intending to sell after the flotation, but so far no one intending to buy.“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -

Sorry I meant I'm not sure whether to apply direct before midnight tonight, but it obviously means tying up more cash, albeit for a short while.0 -
I've just applied online through Hargreaves Lansdown.
Pretty painless application and all seems setup Ok, confirmation email received.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. "Although trade unions are currently balloting for strike action, a source familiar with the matter said just 368 of the 150,000 eligible UK-based workers had declined to take up their free shares, worth around 2,200 pounds per person."
Dont you just love the hypocrisy of the unions and their members. They all (bar 368 of them) have their price"enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -

Should be a laugh at the AGM when 10% of votes disagree with everything the management are trying to do.(except getting rid of Sat letter deliveries)I have a deep burning indifference0 -

No, but perhaps they might consider not buying shares in the power and water companies directly and/or via the "foreign" corporations.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

Private investors selling a couple of hundred shares is neither here nor there. It is institutional demand that will determine the price.0
