Would help if they used plain language, '1st day of trading' would be better than 'Admission'.0

I tried to buy more than 10K's worth so I received nothing in the initial float.
This morning, first day of open trading, I've bought a big chunk both for my SIPP and for my normal trading account (though I don't trade very often). Price paid was 485p apiece.
I now need to avoid looking at the share price several times a day. With the promise of decent dividends, new capital available, tons of goodwill and a great brand name, for me, RM is a good long term share that I hope will be the cornerstone of my pension fund.
FWIW, I wasn't in favour of the privatisation but once it was clear it was going to happen, I decided I wanted to invest."I don't mind if a chap talks rot. But I really must draw the line at utter rot." - PG Wodehouse0 -
Well, the price is rising substantially. So for all of you who are frustrated in not being able to sell the delays are probably a good thing.0

Sure I read the refund is 21st October.
Yes, someone saw something saying this Monday (yesterday) for debit card purchases, but that must have been an individual broker, or something.
We now know from a combination of the small print and bitter experience, that the Government subscribers aren't even being allowed to trade from 8am this morning (no email, no account number), so it's entirely consistent that the government agent is going to hang onto our money as long as it can.0 -
OK, another update and this one has got me fuming!
I phoned Equiniti on their 0121 415 0250 phone number to see if they could help where the Royal Mail share helpline couldn't.
The guy on the end of the phone informed me that the sending of E-mails is being DELIBERATELY staggered at the instructions of the government and they are only sending out 60,000 E-mails an hour.
So, when you get your E-mail and are able to make a decision to sell is out of your hands.0 -
Just got through to the RM helpline on 03301230147 after a 20 minute wait and was told they do not have access to my account number and the only way I can get it is to wait until I receive my E-mail.
Asked three times if there was another number I could call and she said no every time but she did give me an E-mail address for complaints which is
concerns@equiniti.com
She also confirmed that she could not tell me when I would receive the E-mail with my account number in.
I've written a complaint to the email address and received a automated response saying I should get a reply within 10 days! They are really speedy.0 -

Just read back a few pages, and am surprised by all the panicky 'still not received my email' messages.
Do people really think the price will dip back down towards the purchase price and stay there....?
No, I don't have a crystal ball either but today I've bought a very big chunk for my long term pension fund as I believe this share will continue to rise, and will pay a good dividend too.
So stop panicking people! There is no rush to sell your initial investment unless you really have to repay that payday loan by lunchtime today.
