Funny that: I contacted the Roads Service a month ago and they've yet to reply.

Did you use the online Reporting system or phone them. I used the online system....

If you get a response in anything less than 2 weeks, you're doing well from my experience, with ONE exception I have to say. I contacted Road Service about a block road drain in front of our house recently and they contacted me that day to ask if we could make sure no-one parked over the drain the next day and true to their word they were out and had it cleared that next day....... :T:T

That's a disappointing response time considering the staff etc each MLA has working for them.

In fairness I spoke too soon, I just received a response and the matter will be full resolved within 48 hours.

Not a great result, a clean-up operation happened but most of the litter was left.

Still no progress on this issue, the main problem seems that the area that I referred whilst it is council maintained - it is too far out of town to be of a priority. I have pushed again for some action.

    Hi Warmhands,

The council did a small area along the road with their roadsweeper, however the areas I referred to were in the hedges and on the footpaths, to be honest it will take at least one lorry to remove all of the rubbish and at the moment it's just becoming a dumping ground.

Overall I am hugely disappointed with this, the rubbish is still prominent and the MLA no longer replies to my emails. I understand now why so few vote.
