It's supposed to be every 3 months ?
Lucky if I get one every 9 months. Has been a bit over a year between some.

No, 2 years as stated. So you are lucky, you get 2 within the legally required period.

I wasn't complaining, just trying to clarify what macman said about 8 in 2 years, as I don't know how often my meters should be read.

I take my own readings at least monthly for the last 3 years we've been living here, so am aware of how much we use and how much we should be billed etc.

PollySouthend, you seem to like throwing around names. In this thread alone you have more or less stated that anybody who doesn't agree with you is 'Stupid'.

So anybody that doesn't see smart meters as a threat, is uneducated. Good start.

Which seems to include the entire general public minus the small, elite, educated group fronted by PollySouthend.

What I actually said is people that don't check check their estimated readings against actual readings are stupid to be surprised that they are under / over estimated.

Actually no, you said this about smart meters:
It seams to be the more educated that are cautious with them.
Therefore, if you are not cautious, you are uneducated.

I still stand by the word con. The end users are paying for the suppliers to make more money, that's a con.

Gosh , who would have thought it , suppliers making money out of consumers .............it will never catch on

Must have been a devil of a job fitting that meter under your bridge

It seams to be the more educated that are cautious with them not the "great unwashed" as the other poster said.

Is the fact that BG may be able to tell that you've switched on your kettle really a civil liberties issue?

I fool them - I switch on 3 kettles at the same time! They think I am having a shower (8 times a day)
