Changing a password

I thought I'd give some helpful feedback on my experience trying to change my password on MSE
This is my experience
1. How do I change my account email address? *Goes to forums.moneysavingexpert.com
2. Hmmm lots of stuff here, where do i go? *scours page
3. Ahh I can see my username under the 3rd navigation bar (where there are between 8 and 10 options on each bar) *clicks username
4. Hmm, nothing on 'about me' but I'll update some of that now *then clicks other options: Stats/ Contact info/ User badges?? but nothing here...
5. Can't find anything here *goes to Google and types 'moneysavingexpert change password'
6. Ahh good; the first link that comes up is moneysavingexpert.com/faqs/ *clicks link
7. Oh goody, I can see a FAQ search panel *types in 'change password'
8. One search result comes up 'How do I change my forum account email address?' …okay close enough *clicks link
9. Message says; 'To change the email address linked to your forum account, go to User CP > Edit Your Details > Edit Email & Password.' *wonders what a CP is?
10. Wonders why they never just put a direct link on these help pages but fair enough it can't be that hard to find the link (must be here somewhere)? *uses browser 'search page' function to find 'user CP' but nothing comes up
11. #%£$@'s sake *goes back to google, types 'moneysavingexpert change password'
12. 10th result down and spots 'Change MSE password?' on forums.moneysavingexpert.com *clicks link
13. Someone has kindly posted a direct link *clicks link
14. Ah ha, user CP!!! CONTROL PANEL.. of course *slaps face and enters new password info and clicks 'save changs'
15. Message appears; 'There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period.' Okay,.. I have no idea what that means and if my password has updated? *Confused face
16. To make sure my password has definitely updated I need to log out and in again *Clicks link 'Log out'
17. I type in the username and password, click 'Log In' message reads: 'Thank you for logging in, pricksqueak' SUCCESS!! *goes to get a coffee
I think the interface and navigation bar is quite cluttered, does anyone agree that it's bad form to use an acronym for 'Control panel' particularly for new users not familiar with the site, has anybody else had similar experiences?

The acronym User CP is a vbulletin (the software that 'powers' the MSE forums) feature.
