I went to 2 events at Wembley this summer, the Capitalfm summertime ball and Robbie Williams.
We took the tube from Hillingdon, it's not far from the M25, with a big car park. The Met line is direct to Wembley park.
When it's finished (10.30pm) it was a well controlled walk to the tube station. 85K people leaving in one go does make it slow. The police use crowd control methods to prevent the tube station getting swamped. DO NOT go near the place by car or coach! It took a friend 2hrs to get out in the summer.
We took about 35mins to get to the tube, and going west did mean most of the traffic was going the other way. The tube was frequent and plenty of seats.
Everyone was happy to just stroll along, and we even had a sing song after Robbie!0 -
Be aware that Stanmore gets very busy for Wembley concerts so if you use it get thete early. Canons Park on the same line is another option.
Another choice is use the Watford Overground to Wembley Central. It's a longer walk to the stadium, but will be less busy on the return journey. Check train times tho as Im not sure when they stop running.0
